About our Live Courses
Our live platform has become a major cornerstone of our learning platform. These in-studio, live weekly workshops broadcasted are filmed in 4k and streamed in 1080p. Each course is a focused, task-based course which offers full tablature, interactivity with the instruction, and even homework each week. We are bringing live, educational instruction into the next generation with this platform.
In 2015, we completely re-engineered our recording studio with top of the line gear, including a full suite of 4k cameras complimented by a new audio outfit. The result is beautiful live streams to your computer, in qualities as high as 1080p!
Each live course is supplemented with full tablature, music notation, and even backing tracks. Our live lessons are focused, planned, and even give you homework options on how to improve and look forward to the following week.
Our staff fields questions from the audience throughout each section, and opens the "classroom" up for questions throughout each course. You also have the ability to call in live with your own video stream!

Starting September 6th
Taught by ANDY WHITEHEAD
By the end of the 10-week course you will be able to learn songs by ear. During the first five weeks, we will cover how to learn melodies that use the major/minor pentatonic scale, blues scale,
Major/minor scale, and melodic/harmonic minor scale. During weeks 6-10, we will cover how to learn chord progressions by ear that use power chords, barre chords, and slash chords.
We will progress from easy to more difficult melodies and chords. These skills are essential if you want to learn songs, and a magnificent tool for any aspiring songwriter.
Starting September 9th
Taught by Don Ross
Now this is what separates JamPlay from all others! Take a 3 day, 9 session live course from the legendary Don Ross! This course will give your thumb a "brain", and allow you to
breakout of pattern based picking. Develop more independence between bass lines, and bring out your inner voice and melody. Don will work through 3 songs to
teach you challenging picking patterns to break out of your traditional fingerstyle arrangements. This course starts on September 9th, and continues throughout the weekend (10th and 11th) with 3 sessions per day.
Starting September 15th
Taught by Chris Liepe
This course is a continuation of Chris' past 3 beginner courses. With this six-week set of lessons, we will bring scales and chords together.
So often, guitar players treat lead and rhythm as separate ways of playing. It is easy to compartmentalize certain aspects of guitar when, in fact,
they are all intricately intertwined. After this next six weeks, you will be able to play simple chord progressions in a new way.
Starting September 19th
Taught by Jim Deeming
Learn to compose your own fingerstyle compositions! Jim will walk you through the process of taking separate elements such as chords, a melody, and a baseline and
weaving them into one tight and honed fingerstyle masterpiece. Don't worry, this is not as complicated as it sounds, especially for basic arrangements; the end
product, however, will be mindblowing and have everyone you know wondering when you got so good.

Taught by Emil Werstler
If you don't know Emil Werstler just yet, head to YouTube and introduce yourself to one of the finest young guitar players out there. Emil is a thoughtful, intriguing guitarist who can change the way you think about the
instrument. This course covers everything from breaking out of boring power chords, to interchanging ideas for licks
and lead play. Don't miss it!
Starting Octoer 3rd
Taught by David Wallimann
This course is all about improving stamina, speed and accuracy. Things will start simple and easy using muscle building exercises that will benefit everyone, and
progress into complex patterns that will test your dexterity and ultimately make you a better player. This course is suitable for acoustic or electric players, and
we will build your playing endurance during this live course.
