Originally introduced as a hollowbody doubleneck model in 1958, the EDS-1275 assumed its more familiar SG-style body shape in 1962. Always one of Gibson's more esoteric models, the 1275 got its moment in the sun when Jimmy Page began using it for live performances of the Led Zeppelin classic "Stairway to Heaven."
