| tried learning formally a couple times and it didn't take. In 1990 I decided to self teach and leaned to play by ear. After studying guitars I designed and built my own guitar which was very good. Circumstances caused me to quit playing and building regularly in 1998 and I sold all my gutars. In 2005 I found I really missed the joy of playing and bought a cheap strat to try and start up again. Since then my son and daughter have expressed a desire to learn. I am taking advantage of it to take them through the lessons properly while brushing up things I never formally learned. It has been a great experiance for us all to play together and learn together. |
