- June 20th, 2008 (2 minutes, 26 seconds)Zlyman asks, "Hello Everyone, I recently saw a video of Newton Faulkner playing 'I Need Something', I'm struggling to understand how he continues to play the intro on the neck for as long as he does - is it just because he is hitting the strings so hard and it's plugged inot an amp? The link is here: http://www.newtonfaulkner.com/gb/home/ Bit advanced for me at the moment, but I'd love to have a go at some point. Thanks Simon" View Response- August 28th, 2008 (6 minutes, 10 seconds)Stevenstratt asked "Hey guys. I Have a custom made guitar. It was made by stevens stringed instruments. They are no longer around unfortunately. It is a fender strat copy with a schuller made floyd rose tremolo system. It has 3 seymour duncan pickups. It is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. I use dean markley blue steel regular strings. I've had the guitar tuned by professionals but it doesn't seem to hold it's intonation very well. Maybe it's the strings. I also have a les paul with the same problem. I've played on friends guitars with the same problem. How do you get a guitar to have a perfect pitch. Thanks. I hope this is a video response question." What is the best way to practice? I'm trying it with metronome (slowww time) with a "pick"(is it right?) and without it (only with my right hand). It's also difficult to know the timing to do the walking bass and remain synchronized with metronome in a 4/4 time after changing to the next chord." I have problems with my rhythm, can help me the metronome? Thank you. Felipe." When it starts, there are some really fast notes on it. I don't really get it how to do this. When I play it, there is limitation of speed. I think there might be a special fingering. Please please give me some tips about this solo... Have a great day!! :)" View Response
