String Buzz - November 29th, 2007 (4 minutes, 80 seconds)
Rhoadsfreak10 asks, "I am having a problem with string buzz, especially when I'm picking something aggressively. It isn't due to fretting notes and chords in the wrong place because I don't have that problem when not being aggressive. I have raised the action on the guitar, to the point where they are almost more suited to playing slide but that hasn't helped. Any advice?" View Response
Christmas Songs - December 19th, 2007 (4 minutes, 24 seconds)
Juant asks "I bought my first guitar 1 week ago. I bought a Fender DSG starter package. My immediate goal is to learn two Christmas songs by Christmas Eve, so that I may play them for my 11 month year old son. So far I have learned the: E, A, D, C, and G chords, sand I'm transitioning fairly well between them. Please recommend two songs that only use the above chords, and advise if you have lkessons for them, so that I may cram between now and then. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all the best in 2008. Thank you in advance, Juan Enrique" View Response
Barre Chords - November 5th, 2007 (3 minutes, 26 seconds)
Louis Aves asks: "Hi Steve- What is the correct position of the thumb when making a barre chord ? I have tried putting my thumb in line with my first finger and also running my thumb along the neck pointing toward the nut but both cause a lot of pain around the base of my thumb when I move position. The only way I can kind of do it is by bending my thumb in almost a right angle shape and using the tip, not the pad,to press on the back of the neck but this makes for quite a lot of movement and time to get from open to barre chords and vice versa. Any suggestions? (Apart from sell my guitar ! ) Love the lessons Steve." View Response

Acoustic or Electric Guitar - April 24th, 2007 (1 minutes, 25 seconds)
Crackdown asks: "Hey, I was just wondering in the opinion of the Jamplay staff do you think that someone completely new to guitar should start with an acoustic or electric guitar. I really like the idea of playing both, and am interested in what is easier to learn and probably more versatile." View Response
