Puma_jaguar asks, "Hi My name is Saul ,im taking lessons with Steve Eulberg and im a begginer i really enjoy the lessons, i have an acoustic guitar Esteban legacy AL-100 41" and i think that the neck of my guitar is very small im not sure,the top of the neck is 1 5/8" and low is 2 1/8", i have problem when i'm playing the easy c cord ,my first finger hit the second string first fret, but when im playing part of my tip of my finger touches the first string too and it makes a buzz all the time i dont know if it is because the neck is very small and the strings are really close could you tell me, if there is a position that will help me not to make my tip touch both strings ( how will i change to easy c chord to d7th chord?) if the neck is small or how should i bend my fingers in this case? . how should i hold the guitar guitar easier? is the position of my thumb incorret ? thanks" Another benefit of being a member of JamPlay is the video response section. Gfl23 asks, "As I was learning lessons in Phase 1, which usually included simple chords, I basically had no problem with my left hand. However, when I started to progress into larger and more complicated chords, I found that the wrist of my left hand would stick out away from behind the fingerboard. My thumb would tighten up completely and basically my left hand would be completely twisted up just so that I can accomodate or reach all the frets in the chord. If i stuck out my hand in that position, the hand would be bending inwards towards my body at a 90 degree angle and my thumb would be bending a little the opposite way. After holding that position for maybe 5 minutes, my hand and wrist would feel horrible, discouraging me from playing. I would really appreciate any suggestions as to how I can improve this dilemma. P.S. I reviewed the lessons on posture already but I didn't really see what I needed. Thanks, I really want to get back to learning guitar. This site is great! Dennis, you *expletive* rock the house, keep coming up with the hits your an awesome instructor. You and matt are the reasons I got this membership. but anyways I just wanted to request some metal music like "laid to rest" by lamb of god, or some good megadeth songs, and also a killer song would be "lonely day" by system of a down and include the actual solo in it (the solo is why I like the song). Which brings me to a question. Why don't you guys teach the guitar solo's? those are the best parts of the songs and the only solo on this site is parasite by kiss. which is still a good solo but I'd like to learn the solos to paranoid, and the trooper and shit like that. So write me back with some info about the songs I requested and the guitar solo, thanks guys peace. View Response
