Chord Help Strumming Problems - August 2nd, 2007 (2 minutes, 50 seconds)Berwin, "I am having a difficult time with the C chord. My fingers are positioned correctly and no dead sound is apparent, it just seems to out of tune and just doesnt sound correct while I am strumming it. I have used been using a tuner and everything seems to be in tune. What am I possibly doing wrong?" View ResponseSweep Picking - February 20th, 2008 (3 minutes, 60 seconds)Matt11 asks, "In his lesson, Brad demonstrates sweep picking, but I'm confused about the use of it. When mastered, is it quicker than alternate picking? I also thought about the kind of a ,,continuous" sound/feel you get when you play in this technique, but the change is not so drastic. So? :-)" View ResponseTuning - July 11th, 2008 (3 minutes, 25 seconds)Jdemail78 asks, "I have a pretty simple question, I think, on the correct way to tune a guitar. I have an acoustic/electric guitar with a tuner built right into the electronics but my question would apply to any guitar with any sort of tuner. When you go to tune a string, should you give the string your tuning one good strum and then adjust the tuning peg, or is it better to continue to pick the string while your adjusting the peg? It seems like I can get a slightly different result doing it one way or the other. In the end, I think either way has the guitar pretty much in tune but I'm just curious if one way is better over the other or if it really doesn't matter. Thanks and keep up the great lessons." In the end of Stev's 9th lesson he goes through power chords useing the barre e shape. It is a little fast for an old fart like myself so I'd appreciate it if you would go through the form Steve goes through when playing these chords. Thanx Jerry." View Response
