Return to Video Question and Answer Listings
Date: October 10th, 2007 | Length: 3.2 | Instructor: Matt Brown

Knoemee says, "Hi Steve, I was browsing the CHORD library, it seems quite limited. I couldn't find any slash chords. For example, C/E, E/G#, A/C# etc. Was quite disappointed. I just signed up as a member yesterday for 3 months. It's either what I see is what I from the Jamplay's Chord Library or did i missed out in any links in JAMplay website? Thanks! Dawn" Another benefit of being a member of JamPlay is the video response section. Our expert staff fields questions from our members and provides video responses each week.

New Guitar - November 9th, 2007 (3 minutes, 90 seconds)
Mniswonger asks: "I was playing with an Epiphone dr100 and I hated it!!! It was just too big for me, and I remember in one of the instructionals the instructor said to be comfortable with your guitar. So tonight I went out and bought a new guitar...it was not the one I wanted (could not afford the one I wanted...Martin 000XE). I ended up buying a Martin LXM travel guitar. It's very small, but for some reason it feels much better when I play. My question is, will this hurt me in the long run playing a smaller size guitar? Lets say I save enough to buy a Martin X series in a regular size, will I have problems converting from the small LXM to the larger scale X series. Thank you for your help. Jaron asns, "Hello, I've been playing guitar for about 6 months now. For now, the only amp I have is a cheap 15 watt Peavey Audition amp. I notice that most amps have a gain knob on it. My amp doesn't have one all it has is a volume knob, a treble knob and a bass knob with a clean and distortion switch. Without the gain knob I have alot of trouble figuring out getting certain kinds of distortion sounds. I mainly play classic rock. Can you try to help me get a Guns N Roses or a Van Halen sound with my amp? I would appreciate the help." View Response
