Andre Nieri was born in Brazil in 1986. At a young age, Nieri was taken by music and first began playing his first chords. At the age of 7 he was inspired by bands like Metallica and Pearl Jam, however the Brazilian Jazz music called "Bossa Nova" played a huge influence in his musical background. "Being raised in Brazil was a great opportunity to get exposure to a variety of music styles. Definitively, Brazil is one of the most musical countries that I've ever been", says Nieri. In 2004, Andre was admitted to the most renowned music conservatory in Brazil and 4 years later he graduated with a degree in Jazz and Brazilian Music. Soon after, he started touring the country with some Rock bands as well as working on his English skills; all the while thinking on broadening his horizons in the near future. At the beginning of 2011, he participated in major Guitar Contests from many countries. He won the "French Guitar Contest" in the same year. Currently, he's been working on the composition of his first solo record in which he will blend several styles such as rock, samba, fusion, and blues.

I'm a fifty eight year old newbie who owns a guitar which has been sitting untouched in a corner for about seven years now. Last weekend I got inspired to pick it up and finally learn how to play after watching an amazing Spanish guitarist on TV. So, here I am.
