I have zero idea what intermediate player means on Jam Play? You go from beginner lessons to "Your in Way over your head lessons" no gradual learning curve on this site. I'm just about done.

shiroshiro replied

No, there is a learning curve, but the problem is you are choosing to study "modern" blues before you tried out the regular blues genre lessons (e.g. Hawkeye Herman, Eric Madis). It only makes sense that modern blues would require more technical ability than traditional blues. You just need to spend more time understanding the site and what to expect. I will say this, though - Jamplay *has* sort of had a weird transition from focusing on hiring actual teachers to instead trying to get "artists" to try and teach - some of whom may or may not have any teaching experience.

Bradley.ConwayBradley.Conway replied

Hi BootSQ! You would be considered an intermediate player if you have completed a full Phase 1 beginners course and mastered the skills taught there. Then you would move on to the Phase 2 Skill-Based lessons where you can work through each topic/skill. Phase 2 will cover intermediate to pro-level skills :)

Hello - I am excited about your course - I first leaned blues with Hawkeye here on Jamplay - the course was great - I have also completed many other lessons with other Blues teachers here. I like your style andI look forward. Thanks.

lachiclachic replied

Hi Artur, Bradley here from the Southern Hemisphere side - down south, South Africa way. Thank you for your course. I really appreciate how comprehensive your teaching is with the theory, notes, full notation, tab, and clear teaching and unmistakable love for the blues expressed through your playing and teaching. Thank you Jamplay, another top-class instructor/musician.

"I feel like a 12 year old kid with a new guitar!"

I am 66 years young and I still got it! I would have never known this if it had not been for Jamplay! I feel like a 12 year old kid with a new guitar! Ha! I cannot express enough how great you're website is! It is for beginners and advanced pickers! I am an advanced picker and thought I had lost it but thanks to you all, I found it again! Even though I only play by ear, I have been a member a whopping whole two weeks now and have already got Brent's country shuffle and country blues down and of course with embellishments. Thank you all for your wonderful program!

"With Jamplay I can fit in a random session when I have time and I can go at my own pace"

I'm a fifty eight year old newbie who owns a guitar which has been sitting untouched in a corner for about seven years now. Last weekend I got inspired to pick it up and finally learn how to play after watching an amazing Spanish guitarist on TV. So, here I am. I'm starting at the beginning with Steve Eulberg and I couldn't be happier (except for the sore fingers :) Some day I'm going to play like Steve! I'm self employed with a hectic schedule. With Jamplay I can fit in a random session when I have time and I can go at my own pace, rewinding and replaying the videos until I get it. This is a very enjoyable diversion from my work yet I still feel like I'm accomplishing something worthwhile. Thanks a lot, Greg
