| I would like to play songs, read tablature, begin to develop a small library of songs, musical pieces that I can enjoy for myself or to play for family and friends. I love many types of music but I am mostly moved by music played by such artists as Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Joni Mitchell, etc and instrumental music with a Spanish, Latino flair that can be enjoyed with finger-style playing. | |

| I played a few easy songs when I was 18 by playing basic chords. However, i never felt confident in playing any of the songs. I struggled with barred chords so just avoided them altogether. Never learned tablature, or any music theory. I am now 63 years of age, retired. I have not picked up the guitar since I was 18. I believe I am more motivated now to learn to play than I ever was at 18. I am interested in playing the guitar as a hobby during my years of retirement. | |
