When I was about 16 or 17 I wanted to learn guitar. I got an acoustic for Christmas along with a book on how to play. I sat down with those chord charts, determined to play guitar. I played until my fingers bled and blistered and that was the end of that. I had no one to teach me the way I should have done it back then.
Fast forward a few decades. One morning I slip on the dark, wet concrete stairs in front of my house going to the driveway. I'm in a world of pain and figure I might as well get something out of all the pain, so why not try guitar again? I might have had a slight concussion when I made that decision, but music helps your brain. Really, the pain wasn't that bad-- just the catalyst to get me going again. This time I'm doing it right with the help of JamPlay and loving learning this beautiful instrument.
