I would really like to be able to do more than just strum a few chords. I really like the sound fingerpicking provides on a guitar. I’m 70 years old and have always wanted to play a guitar, but just didn’t do it. Now I’m retired and have four guitars (a Martin 000, a Taylor mini, a Zager 50CE, and a Zager Parlor acoustic electric. This has become a hobby for me, so I made the financial commitment to help me stick with it. I have been trying to learn guitar using the Gibson Learn & Master Guitar , completing up to the session 8. I have just found that method to be boring and somewhat incomplete. Even though I have learn some things that I hope to carry forward to JamPlay which seems to have much more to offer.

Began trying to learn guitar in January 2018 using the Gibson Learn & Master Guitar course by Steve Krenz.
Can for about 13 chords, have been introduce to reading music. Know the names of the guitar strings. Been introduced to Major chords. Just beginning the learn bar chords, know some basic strumming patterns. Can play some one note at a time simple songs, like ode to joy, jingle bells, minuet in c, The Star Spangled Banner, Minuet in G, America the Beautiful.....very simple stuff.
