Ive been playing on going on 10 years... Ive done a lot of developing as a guitarist over the time-- and I used a tool like this in the first year of seriously practicing and it worked wonders... But I really want to forward my playing further, and more efficiently. I don't want to be "ok". I want to be great, thats my goal, and thats my ambition.

Honestly, the first riff I learned was come as you are by Nirvana when I was 5-6 years old. I didn't honestly take up guitar as my first instrument. I started when my dad taught me keyboard. I learned rock chords and random other things like the Jurassic theme park song because I had a lot of fun with it. I stopped touching music creation and playing for about 4-5 years when I picked up keyboard again, but not trying to get better with it. It was just to play with friends. I didn't pick up guitar again until I was 16. My father (Late Charles Goldberg) taught me how to re-string my guitar and how to train my ear. He played for 40 years before he passed away when I was 17. I expected to get way more knowledge out of him before he'd be gone, so I decided I would make it my life goal to become as good as he was. So that I could earn his respect in my heart. I bought my first guitar, which was also my dream guitar at the time with the money I was left. It was an Ibanez Jem7v-- I practiced on it for 5, 6 or 7 hours a day sometimes. I used this guitar for 5 years. I was a year and a half into military service when I had to go on deployment. I traded it in for an acoustic, so that I could play while I was overseas. I came back and started playing in a country band with Chris Hamrick. We had a great time together, playing in Norfolk, VA. Afterwards, he went back home to Georgia, and I joined another group to play as lead guitar for a Pop/Folk trio. Now occasionally while I am in engineering school, I learn and practice as much as I can while studying. I am moving to Blacksburg to further my musical knowledge and to finish my degree at Virginia Tech.
