I have been taking guitar lessons for about a year, but I just don't seem to be getting it. I want to be able to pick up one of my guitars--whether my classical, my acoustic, or my electric, and just play and commune with the music. I'm hoping that JamPlay will give me some good structure for practicing, with clear and achievable goals for steady improvement. |

Guitar(s): | Schecter (not sure what model), 2 Alvarez classical guitars, 1 Yamaha acoustic |
Amplifer(s): | California ... not sure what kind. It's a very small amp, bought for $30 at a pawn shop |
I started taking acoustic guitar lessons in January 2017. I really wanted to learn classical guitar so I eventually got my first Alvarez in March 2017 and have been taking classical guitar. I practice a lot (an hour a day) and have improved, but I am looking for a different format for lessons (and something more affordable than a private teacher). I recently got an electric guitar as a gift, so I would like learn to have fun on that. I also have an acoustic and like playing at campfires and Girl Scout meetings with my kid. I minored in music in college (piano), so I have a good grasp of theory and can read music. I am also a pretty good sight-reader on piano. |
