I was half of Tin Can Alley in the 70’s. I was a folk singer who teamed up with a rock guitarist and I earned enough on the folk circuit in Germany with the Army to buy my first car. Three chords and off you go! Went back to England, got married, had kids and always looked lovingly at the guitar ( plus additional hole in the back- kids eh?) but never played again. My wife has bought me a new Tanglewood for Christmas, so....Hi !!!! |
In a Band: | No |
Skill Level: | Beginner |
Guitar(s): | Tanglewood six string and a battered old Suzuki |
Amplifer(s): | One day I’ll move up to an amp - I’m so bad I’m trying to play quietly... |
I’m one of those that play songs with three or four chords (no bar chords) but I aspire to Classical Gas or even Homeward Bound or Here comes the Sun. ....or even Barry Maguire’s Eve of Destruction would be a start! I don’t even know how to strum!! I like Mary Chapin Carpenter and that genre but I’ve never been able to play. I did pay for my first car with my amateur playing but the bar was set low! |
