| I'm a songwriter with a folk background. A retired professional electric bass player. Converted to upright bass several years ago and played Americana style mostly on upright. Want to improve my guitar playing with fingerstyle and some bluegrass lead with pick. Primary listening interest is along the Alison Krauss style of music. Have fundamental knowledge of harmony/theory/chord structure and progressions. Looking to enhance my guitar accompaniment skils. |

Introduced to folk music in the 1960's. 20+ yrs playing electric bass 1976-1983 and picked electric bass back up 2003-2009, and upright bass from 2005-present. Playing out 50+ gigs locally in Boston market until a month ago with original songwriters in both contemporary and Americana styles. Began songwriting in 2009-present using acoustic guitar. Goal: to play out - both covers and original compositions either solo or with a small acoustic group.
