| I picked up the Guitar as a way to pass time while on deployment with the US Marines. I haven't been playing all that much during that time frame it was never really an everyday thing, It would come and go 2 weeks playing 4 weeks not. This is my major effort here to actually learn to play this instrument, i'm self taught to this point. I just want to sound like a guy who has been playing for the better part of a decade. I'm going to be studying the Blues first, i believe that If i was competent in the blues that learning rock guitar would be easier, plus the fact that I love the sound of blues guitar, there are few forms of guitar playing that have that much raw emotion and soul within it's playing. The fact that blues is the base for all modern music doesn't hurt either. :) |
