| Away from the instrument for many years, occasional dabbling. Once seriously thought of it as a career- singer/songwritwer long before that title was used. Still very interested in writing and, hopefully, even some gigging soon. Had trouble answering Genre and favourite band questions as I'm really all over the map. Like at least something from almost any genre - from Hank Williams to Ella to Guns and Roses - except maybe Disco (but even there Who doesn't like the BeeGees ?) or Rap. Easier to say what I don't like - Most of today's pre-packaged pablum, boy bands (Yech !) Pre pubescent girls packaged as sex symbols and singing about experiences they can't possibly have had. I guess whenever the package and hype take over from the music or try to disguise it's bland formulaic and oh so cynical roots. That's my rant for the day :) Respect music. |
