| Primarily I want to develop musical theory and its application. I have learned all the note positions on the fret board -which was painful btw :). I have also put time into learning maj/min scales beyond the basic pentatonic scale i.e Ionian ect... however I still don't get when they should be used?!? I would like to learn how to harmonize vocal melodies in order to write songs with friends. From a technique point of view I want to develop my speed and accuracy when playing songs in addition to expanding my chord and song knowledge base. Chords in a key, notes in chord, that kind of thing. I tend to obsess about missed notes, strangled chords ect... Ive never tried online guitar tuition but what the hell right..... if it means I play more it can only be good :) | |
