| I have played in a few blues and rock bands over the years, but my skill on the guitar is only so-so and I would really like to be able to play freely and expressively, even while singing. I would like to be able to speed up my playing, as well as to be able to move all over the fretboard and not see it so much as boxes to move around in. | |

| I started playing guitar at age 15; it was a natural transition from playing violin and viola from the age of 8. I played in several bands over the years as lead/rhythm guitarist and lead vocals. I would describe my relationship with the guitar to be co-dependent: I play well enough to make up for my singing, and I sing well enough to make up for my playing. | |
