Started learning guitar on acoustic in 1979, took lessons with Peter Dello from the band Honeybus. Developed my own finger picking style on 12 string acoustic, and started writing songs with my brother. I didn't get into playing lead guitar as I worked with other musicians on recording and producing demos. Did a lot of theory classes and exams, taking what id learnt and using it in arranging. Always had a home studio from reel to reel sound on sound machines , 4 track cassette, 8 track open reel, and now working on computers. My ambition is to really get into the lead playing so that I can work out the arrangements to my songs and play the lead parts I can hear in my head. I've picked up a lot of the techniques but need the guidance Jamplay offers to pull everything together. So far I'm really enjoying the learning experience. Going back to basics I've already learnt some great stuff that's gonna help me get to where I wanna be in 6-9 months of solid practise.
