Traveler, rambler and drifter all describe me very well. I spend most of my time keeping busy. Learning to play guitar was something I thought about for over a year before I bought my first acoustic instrument.

Other then music I have a great interest in photography as well as ocean kayaking.
I picked a photo of a polar bear just cause I'm from the land of the midnight sun.

Love to play the Ukulele, and still trying to wrap my head around playing the guitar.. I'm slow I know

I love playing Fingerstyle guitar, would like to learn some other genres as well but one thing at a time.
Recently thanks to this site, I have found great joy in practicing and listening to Slack Key as well. Oh the irony, sitting by the fireplace with my guitar practicing Hawaiian music with snow and sub zero temperatures outside

Started trying to learn from books and here on Jamplay. Jamplay opened my eyes to several other styles of music.

I was lucky enough to get to know a great fingerstyle guitarist who is helping me learn. I do take lessons from him, and have for a few years now.
I think the combination of Fingerstyle specific lessons along with jamplay to mix things up a bit has really helped me develop a lot as a guitarist.

I'll never be great, that much I know. But at least I'll be able to play and have fun.
Was asked to do a solo performance on the FPSO Balder in the North sea in 2015. That was nervewracking and fun. My first public performance.
The same year I went to the FPSO Terra Nova out in the Grand Banks off the coast of Newfoundland. There I practiced in the music room when I had a chance, and when I looked up I suddenly had an audience. This happened quite a few times. That was fun as well as a great compliment to me.
