Trying to accomplish these with JamPlay: Short-term: 1. Learn jazz chords and apply chord progressions. 2. Strum/play something simple with very steady rhythm. 3. Be able to play along/improvise with samba-type rhythmic drums. 4. Be able to identify any chord progressions in any key in the head without writing out the whole 7 notes in different keys. 5. Be able to identify different scales with different positions freely, pentatonic (and blues), minor-pentatonic, and etc?and memorize these tones while spelling them out. Semi-short-Term: 1. Be able to play, "Inspiration," by Gypsy Kings. 2. Understand and apply modes. 3. Be able to identify and construct inversions of chords on the fret board. 4. Be able to play Latin/samba riffs (is there such thing) / rhythm /chords. 5. Identify modes/scales of heavy metal riffs and licks and be able to modify these on own while emphasizing the tonal center. If blues, be able to use b5 note fluently and effectively. 6. Add more textures to strumming and finger plucking. 7. Be able to use/walk different base lines. 8. Identify these distances on the fret board and be able to name them. 9. Be able to construct all the triads and indicate their qualities. 10. Utilize arpeggios. Long-Term: 1. Be able to play/repeat what's being heard with the guitar instantly, TV commercial song, and etc. 2. Solo with any songs - identify keys 3. Understand the construction of sus and add chords and apply. 4. Be able to generate pinch harmonics sound and control the length of it while vibrating it. 5. Learn about different guitar gears, equipment, usage of music or guitar software - record and edit at home. 6. Be able to explain and analyze/identify musical significance (chord constructions/modes/and such) of any music ,Latin, Brazilian, classic music , and etc? 7. Be able to setup guitars. |
