I'm not professional musician and my only background in music is what I've learned in music class back in my high school days.

I'm basically self-taught, but never had enough time over the years to practice and actually get good at playing guitar. Websites such as JustinGuitar was very helpful, but I was looking for something more. I play for my own enjoyment, so I'm not looking to be a professional. I'm more interested in learning better techniques, as well as learning to play more of my favorite songs.

I first started teaching myself the guitar when I was high school (early 1970's), but I gave it up pretty quickly. I became too frustrated trying to maneuver the various chords including the barre chords. At the time, I wasn't devoted enough to music to take professional lessons from an instructor.

I started getting interested in learning guitar again in 1980, but over the years, I never devoted enough time to practicing on a regular basis until a few years ago when I discovered Justin Sandercoe's website. His videos were pretty helpful and I learned a lot, but I've been looking for something more. So, I decided to give JamPlay a try.
