Hi, I've been living in Japan for about 7 seven years and decided to start learning guitar after listening to John Frusciante's solo albums and wishing I could play even just a little like him. I struggled teaching myself then I joined a group lesson for a year with a Japanese instructor. He was a nice guy but not a great teacher and the members in my group were at different levels and had very different tastes in music. It just wasn't fun or productive so I quit and went in search of alternatives. I found JamPlay when looking up song tabs on a site and joined straight away. I finally feel like I'm making some progress and might not completely suck at guitar forever afterall, hahaha.
