I?ve been playing since 8th grade. Started off playing punk rock, then played in some relatively successful melodic metal/hardcore bands. Around the time I dropped out of high school. From then, getting into more indie and post-modern rock, jazz and instrumental music began shaping my style further. |

A few staples of my playing are two-handed tapping, using open strings to create ambience, and enhancing this by using alternate tunings. I use a lot of broken and borrowed chords as well. I use effects quite a bit, particularly delay and looping. I feel I can always improve my technical ability, particularly sweep picking and gaining a better knowledge of theory. I want to be able to write more strategically and less ?accidentally." |
