| I'm a Nashville songwriter. It's my day gig. I'm finding that the better I play, the more songs get recorded. Producers and singer-songwriters respond to a well played work tape. And as a BIG bonus, the larger the vocabulary on the guitar is, the better the songs are, frankly. Jamplay is #1 in my mind. Give me a day on the site and I'll always improve. It may be by millimeters, but improvement is progress. This town has thousands of guitar players that could level an ordinary run-of-the-mill guitarist and send him home. I love understanding what they do better. And I also live for the days when I write something that the studio musicians take pause over and say "cool." | |

| Started out as a drummer. Played lounges and shows and concerts, tahoe, reno, las vegas. Came home and started working in studios around the bay area. Had kids Moved to Nashville and landed a gig as a songwriter. Had to play guitar because that's the instrument in this town. Got very serious about picking during the pandemic. Studios were essentially closed, and there wasn't much to do. So I've been a dedicated guitar student ever since, trying to get up to speed on bluegrass (which is not what I write music for). | |
