| A warm Hello to Everyone...I’m sure some may agree that when you were a kid you couldn’t stay focused or interested enough in some kind of instrument. You knew that you wanted to play it just like you imagined hearing it in your head, but got discouraged along the way and quickly found other things to occupy your time. Well, I was one of those kids and some years later really regretted not having some musical experience. As they say, “It’s never too late to learn” So here I am, and, appreciating this site. So thanks guys for making it all possible…and EASY!!! Five years ago I bought a Greg Bennett Cobra electric guitar and told myself that I would sign up for lessons soon. Soon became only just lately, but I did it – and I’ve finally decided to get fired up about getting started on the road I wanted to be on all along. I’m a beginner here and look forward to my achievements. One of the main goals to achieve here is to be able to eventually read music and play just about anything I want to without any problems. I would like to play what I hear in my mind and heart. I hope in time I will know how to decern the notes, chords, etc and play them without too much fuss. I'm sure that could be some years ahead. I’m also well on my way to a goal of losing 110 pounds and getting very healthy…trying to quit smoking for good this time, and so on and so on. Basically, I’m resurrecting myself as I knew I always was, from deep within…hence: Phoenix Rising. | |
