| I learned my first chords from my dad at the age of 8 years old .I played my dad’s jumbo acoustic guitar.I bought my first guitar and amp at 12 years old .A “Barclay” guitar and “Kent” amp.I played in a band at sixteen .I put my guitar playing aside for a few years .Took private lessons to learn how to read music.I did one semester at Berklee College Of Music in Boston, summer of 1983.That was an experience I’ll never forget .Awesome!!! Unfortunately I couldn’t’ afford to go back. Because of circumstances I played on and off for the next 20 years .I took more private lessons in jazz ,flamenco, rock and blues for a few years . I did take a two year online course in Theory,Harmony and Ear Training ,through Berklee College. Now my goal is to learn fingerstyle picking . |
