| I have been playing guitar for 44 years but consider myself on an intermediate level. I am self taught and learned mostly by ear, picking up some theory along the way. I am a virtual beginner in the Jazz genre and want to delve into it. I have a couple dozen songs copyrighted with my partner. Our duo is called Flash Flood. I generally write the melodies and my partner writes the leads and solos. I write all the lyrics. More than half of our songs are spiritually motivated, but we do still have some 60's and 70's blood in our veins. We play out at different functions. Most recently we did a benifet at a local children's hospital. My 12 year old son, Ryan, wants to learn to play and will be enjoying your beginners lessons while I watch on to answer questions. I am so excited to have discovered your web site. It is just what I need to expand my skills. Guitar is such a good hobby for a young person to take up because one can enjoy it for a whole life time.
