Diasable Army Airborne Ranger decided to learn how to play the guitar in my days at home. It helps me with my PTSD. I find music has always been a love of my life. Learning to play well makes me feel better. It is something I can put my heart into and soothes the losses I have endured during my 12 years as an Army Ranger (8 of those years doing Black Ops missions). Awarded a Silver Star and 3 Purple Hearts, music takes my mind and soul away from the horrors I have seen and committed in the name of Freedom and Liberty. I started 3 or so years ago but got very sick and had to relocate from the Midwest to the warmer South for health reasons. I was making great progress but now due to brain injuries I am almost starting over again. Now I am settled, the beach weather agrees with me and I am ready to get serious about learning how to play well. It takes me longer to learn than most due to concentration and memory issues. So I need to play daily or as often as possible to retain what I learn. I am ready to make that commitment and am very excited about it. Thanks for your site and the quality site you have put together. |
