MIJ is my favorite. Stainless jumbo Frets, Corean nut, japanese heavy cast saddles, full-shield and star-ground cavity, very low action, GFS hum-bucker pickups (sounds the same as original vintage, but no hum), lots of sustain and harmonics. intonation all the way down. Love it. Want to have tele guitar as well, but would be best if I learn how to be good at playing what I have first :-). My own fat-strat is very good too. It is a different beast, with more features than one would wish for. It can sound from super-hot so I can have this "insane" overdriven sound just with amp, or it can sound almost acoustic with full and super clean guitar tone across the board.
Dean VX is a birthday present from my wife. Knowing I am into guitar building, she figured I will make this $200 guitar into something nice. After spending a couple of hours on the work bench, she is now a player. A very good gibson style guitar with clean action and warm sound.
