| I first picked up the guitar in 2005 after graduating high school. I was giving my first guitar by a family friend during a garage sale. I don't remember the make but it was red and the neck was slightly broken. I didn't care and proceeded to play it until the neck snapped. My parents then surprised me with a beginners Yamaha bundle. I spent the year of 2005 learning the basics and playing my favorite songs. Since I took a year off before college I had all the time in the world to play and it was fantastic. Soon I purchased my first Ibanez GAX 70. Loved that guitar and would play it every day...That is...Until life kicked in. The next year I found myself in college full time with a part time job and a internship. I was learning about my career and moving my life forward but at the same time moving backwards at my instrument. With less and less time to practice I found myself just picking up the guitar every now and then and just playing mindlessly. Fast Forward to 2015. My career has completely taking over my life leaving little time for learning my craft. Inspiration gone. This is where I'm hoping Jam Play fits in. I want the feeling I had 10 years ago back. The joy, the frustration and the sense of accomplishment. Over the course of these years I have acquired some expensive guitars thinking that this would give me the urge to play again....Haha boy was I wrong. I'm hoping to stick with Jam Play and get myself motivated again. Only time will tell. | |
