| never advanced from all the lessons I took in my early twenties. Work, kids, marriage, divorce, basically life got in the way. But my acoustic has always sat in the corner and occasionally I pick it up and get sore fingers ! For my birthday this year, I have just purchased a very fine fender strat (mexican), and a small but effective Fender amp to go with it. Mid life crisis ? Maybe. But I'm looking to learn a few new things, e.g. how to solo, so let's give this a go. | |

| not sure about whether I'm still really a beginner or intermediate, but I can hold most shapes even if my fingers are a bit less stretchy than they used to be. | |
