| I guess I should start with how I got my nickname 'johnnyrockit', well seeing as how my last name is DeCrocker kids used to call me 'off your rocker DeCrocker' then after some debate as I didn't like that another kid who's name escapes me said "I'm going to call you 'johnnrockit'"and that name stuck for the rest of my life (I didn't even think of playing music back then just listening). I served in the Navy as a hospitol corpsman and have a second dan black belt in moo do kwan tae kwon do. I Love all styles of music but I suppose my favorite being Hard Rock even Hair Band Type music. I Tend to enjoy a lot of the lesser known or obscure bands from the 70s and 80s Starz, Angel, House Of Lords, Ronnie Montrose, Dick Manitoba And The Dictators. Love Jazz, Country, Classical, Pop, Blues, You Name it I probaby like it if it is done well. I know I have played for a number of years but I also realize that I have gone about things in all the wrong ways (typical of me) bad practice habits, wrong practice habits, no focus on theory, etc.. but this time I'm going to do it right. I have had multiple severe head injuries one time where my skull was actually split in half and wired back together so my thinker doesn't quite work right anymore and my memory is kinda messed up and my Awesome and Beautiful wife is also disabled (stroke Patient) who has paralysis on left side of her body has also had a less than an easy life (Just like me). I have two awesome boys one is serving his country in the Nebraska National Guard and his brother has taken off to San Diego To Pursue a career in music and I have a wonderful daughter from my first marriage. I've made lots of mistakes in my life and life has really kicked me in the arse for it. So I really know that I've got a lot of mountains to climb and I probably don't have to many years left (I'm 50) so I want to make the second half of my century count and I'm going to follow the desire I've always had which is to be a decent guitar player / musician and I figure my journey begins here at JamPlay (Wife and I are on a VERY Limited Budget and College or something similar is not an option as I like to eat){Although I have found a way to enroll and will be starting in August yaa!} and I am so impressed with all the fantastic people whom I've already met and spoke to.
