Wow guys I'm truly blown away! :) The site is absolutely incredible - it is without a doubt the best money I've spent online. Period! It truly is refreshing to know that even when the world has been so well connected (I live in Africa!) with every facet of any information available regarding absolutely anything one could hope to find in the form of the internet that one is still able to find absolute gems like jamplay.com. I can't believe I didn't find it earlier - I've been playing guitar for 6 years now (play professionally too) and this website has such an incredible wealth of information and invaluable insider tips into some of the intermediate to advanced guitar stuff. The site truly does cater for everyone - from the absolute noob right up to the elite. My excitement is so great, and the site so refreshing, that I feel like I've just picked up a guitar for the first time again! Congratulations on making the BEST site around - hands down!

I find the lessons excellent. I am currently following Jim Deeming because I am a bad fingerpicker. I find his lessons addictive, helpful, easy to follow and enjoyable.
I have also looked at Steve Eulberg and find him equally interesting.
I think I will get my monies worth out of the annual subscription in a month at the rate I am going!

I have just started the beginner series with jamplay and I have taken lesson one on one in the past but I am enjoying the teacher and the lessons they provide a lot more with jamplay. I find your approach as well as the format very well done and entertaining. The quality of instructors is very good and their approach as well as their teaching methods are great and unintimidating. They make you feel good about where you are and are very encouraging. I am more then satisfied and will definately recommend this site to all the people I know that are looking for quality as well as a fun way to learn how to play.

Hi folks,
I just wanted to drop a line or two to the people who make Jamplay happen. Of all the sites that I have found online, you guys are without a doubt the BEST!! In the year or so I have been a member my playing has improved immensely. I love the recorded lessons and have learned a lot from them. Just those lessons alone are well worth the money, but the greatest addition to the site is the live Q and A’s. Although I haven’t been able to catch all the instructors online, I do get to participate in Mark Lincoln’s daily Q and A’s most days. Mark is a great performer but most of all he is a great instructor! He not only has the ability to teach…. He makes it fun too! He is definitely a valuable asset to your site! I know that you guys and gals are busy so thanks for taking the time to read this and give everyone a big pat on the back for a job well done.

I love Jamplay. I love Steve and Jim (The 2 I have taken lessons with so far). I love that I can learn at home, at my own time and pace. The instruction is very clear and I love The supplemental content pages. I love how I can keep track of where I am with the Progress feature. It will be by far the best $100 I will spend this year. I can't say enough good things about Jamplay. I would recommend it to everyone!! Thanks for a great site and resource for a newbie like me. Yes I am hooked on Jamplay. It is fantastic to be able to have lessons whenever I want. I have started with Hawkeye and am getting into the blues. He is a great teacher - and he responds to the many comments and questions he gets. It is amazing to think that I am down here in little old New Zealand getting lessons daily from an American blues man - the power of the internet!

I just want to tell you that I am so impressed and pleased with the site...it has exceeded my expectations to this point. I have found that as an intermediate level player some other sites really only benefit beginners, but Jamplay offers plenty for all skill levels.

One of the features I have really enjoyed is the live Q&A. Especially Mark Lincoln's sessions. He really has a topic for the day and "teaches" something. He answers any questions people have as well, but he actually gets you playing things (rhythms, songs, arpeggios, etc.) on his Q&A sessions and he shows how to do things for beginners and then shows how to take the same thing and make it more advanced for those that are beyond the beginner stage. I think that approach helps spur people to ask questions or prompts questions because we actually work on something specific instead of it just being a "free-for-all" chat with no direction. Seriously, his live Q&A is like having a private lesson. I really hope those will continue!

I will tell anyone I know that is interested in learning guitar to join this site. I wish I would have had Jamplay when I was beginning to play! And I wish I would have found the site sooner!!!

We have real trouble locating a guitar teacher locally so did some online research and found you! So far my boy has had a real blast. He is just past beginner stage and finds the videos really good to follow. Already managed a credible rendition of a couple of tunes.

I am working on the beginning guitar series with Steve Eulberg and find his Acoustic Guitar series to be excellent. Although I am 80 years old and have tried on and off for many years, (using many different programs) to learn Acoustic Guitar it has been mostly frustrating to me until I came across Steve's program. He has finally put together a simple, logical, easily executed approach that really makes sense and is a joy to follow. I am looking forward to continuing his series.

I want to thank you for adding the almost daily live sessions. I especially enjoy the sessions with Mark Lincoln. I am basically a beginner but have received answers to questions that improved my learning curve greatly. Mark always brings up subjects that create a lot of enthusiasm and I always look forward to the next session. I take private lessons on the side and pay $20 for a half hour in which I get good instruction, but I won't give up my $20 per month Jamplay subscription where I get 3 hours of live interaction daily plus all the pre-recorded lessons; what a bargain!!! Great job; keep up the good work.

I am really enjoying being able to learn at my own convenience, in my own home. I have two boys at home 11, and 12 so they keep me quite busy, But it is good to know that when I do have any spare time, I can pick up
my guitar and learn another lesson.
I think JamPlay is a great concept. I have already told quite a few people about it.

I have a long way to go, but hopefully by the end of the summer I will be able to sit by the bonfire and play some of my favorite songs.

I found your website last night, and COMPLETELY love it! I have also already showed some experienced guitar playing friends, and they were so impressed they are thinking about joining just to hone their skills. I have been playing about a month, and have been teaching myself with the help of friends and free online video's. But, I came across this website and decided, although skeptical, to give it a shot. I learned more in the 4 hours I played on your site than I have in the last month of "teaching myself." Im currently watching Steve Eulberg's video's for beginners, and even though many of the chords I already knew, it was a great learning experience. I am really loving your site. I have been trying to learn to play guitar for the past 5 years or so, and this is the first time that I really feel like I have a structured routine, which is where I learn best. Great lessons, great community. I love listening to Marc Lincoln's live chat sessions that he has done over the past few days (I hope these continue from him and others), and I have really got a lot out of reading other people's posts and answers on the forums. I have settled on using Steve Eulberg's phase 1 lessons after trying everyone's. The others were great, but Steve seems to explain things in a way that makes more sense to me quicker.

I am loving this website! I am getting exactly what I need here (scales, notes, chord structures and theory).
The instructors are skilled, patient, pleasant and knowledgeable and that is the atmosphere I need in order to learn as I am a creature of repetition.
I especially like the way y'all have things broken down into beginner/intermediate and advanced instead of just throwing it out there. The different style section are big plus too. I am eating the rock/metal lessons up with a spoon! :-)
Also the price is simply unbeatable!!

I was impressed at how organized and structured the lesson plans are. It makes it much easier for the student land in the right area according to his/her talent level. Also you have given us a variety of instructors who will teach the same things but will attack them from different angles which gives the student a more rounded base of learning and knowledge base.

I love the added features like the articles, tab sheets/chord charts, and the built in metronome. Also the downloadable material is a plus as well.

Good morning.

I am 60 years old. During the earlier years of my life I played various brass instruments from elementary school through college. I played with the Kansas City Youth Symphony, Starlight Theater Orchestra, and soloed for a season with the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra when I was a Junior in high school. I still hold my high school's record for the most blue ribbons at the State of Missouri solo music contests won by an individual.

I am not bragging here, but setting a frame of reference for my comments which follow. You can imagine from this pedigree how many hours I have spent in private lessons with professional musicians.

This brings me to the guitar side of life. My grandfather gave me an old Gibson steel string when I was 9. He taught me basic chords, to run right hand base with my thumb, and to pick out rhythm on the upper register strings with my three fingers. I never learned to read guitar music ! I just had a pretty good ear, and picked up what I could during the hay day of folk music with Peter, Paul and Mary, Smother's Brothers, et al.

As I got older, I got bored playing chords and singing to myself and playing background chords at church. I love guitar music, Celtic, Windham Hill, and I think Leo Kotkke is a guitar gift from another planet. In my personal playing I could never figure out how to add a real melody line like these guys do to my own playing. I took about a half dozen lessons each from about 4 different instructors to get this added to my playing style. No luck. So I put the thing in it's case and banished the whole works to the closet.

I haven't picked up the guitar for about 8 years. Through a series of coincidences I was presented with your web site and a classical guitar on Thanksgiving Day. I selected Jim Deeming and the Fingerstyle program. After about three days, I am with him through Phase 2, Lesson 5. I can even play the whole rip from the prelude to 'Leader of the Band' , following Jim's excellent tutoring. This is a musical miracle !

Can't say enough good things about Mr. Deeming, and about your program.

Many thanks for offering such a terrific approach to learning mastery of an instrument. Even for old duffers like me !

Yeah everything is great! I've never signed up for a paysite before, so I was a bit skeptical. I've been learning off of a free website which was okay but I wanted more. I found a paysite before but it turned out to be a scam site. I checked out all of the testamonials and free lessons and information before signing up and decided to sign up. I searched for a coupon code and stumbled upon a review site and gave you guys top notches and that scam site

I just wanted to let you know that this is what I was looking for. I bought a starter guitar to try to learn and I bought some books but nothing made a connection until I found Jim Deeming at Jam Play. I had previously signed up for another web site and the guy could hardly talk because he was so nervous with the camera and he jumped all over the place. Nothing made sense to me and I was getting discouraged. The video quality was poor and it took forever to load. Good thing it didn't cost much because it's not worth much. The videos you have are outstanding and Jim is great! I am sure that all of the other instructors are just as good but, I chose to start with Jim because he has a "I want to teach you what I Love to do" appeal. I should be practicing but I just wanted to let you know that I like the site so far and say THANKS!

I'm have been trying to play guitar for about 1 yr. I have several guitar teaching programs, Learn and master guitar, Guitar method one, Guitar Magic III, to name a few. I have learned a lot from these programs especially Learn and master guitar. I practice two three hrs. daily. The repetition can be pretty boring. When I was surfing and found JamPlay I didn't expect much, There are so many sites that say they can teach you how to pay guitar, but I have found that you have to already know how play guitar to understand what they are talking about after a couple of lesson. I want to tell you I am really glad I tried JamPlay! I have taking lessons from Jim Deeming, and he has made the learning process so much more interesting and he gives practice information that I don't think you you will find anywhere else. I'm only on the twelfth lesson so far, and I have greater understanding how music works. I already knew how read music and know the notes on first position and some bar chords, haven't learned tab yet. I'm not trying to blow my horn about what I know, what I trying to say is with all practice and lessons I have in the past, it wasn't until I joined JamPlay and I started taking lessons from Jim Deeming that it all starting making sense, now I have got my enthusiasm back and can't wait to get to the next lesson. I hope the other instructors are as informative, when I get to them. I also like to say my guitar stays in tune, with minimum tweaking since I followed Jim Deeming instructions on how to string a guitar.

I am having a great time learning the guitar and Jamplay is just the
vehicle for me. I can access it any time day or night, I can go over a
lesson as often as I need to and it provides a great motivation to continue
learning. I will obtain live instruction sometime, probably this coming
fall, but only to supplement what Jamplay is able to provide and maybe only
to get hands-on help getting through tough spots. I think some constructive
criticism would also be beneficial.
I like the presentation, and I really like the ability to access more

I recently registered with Jamplay and knew nothing about playing the guitar. I chose to begin with Steve Eulberg, and so far I am having a great time! Hello

I stopped playing as it was such a hassle going to lessons after coming in from work

This site is exactly what I wanted so I have dusted off the guitar case, bought some new strings and intend to resume lessons commencing this weekend.

I have also recommended the site to some of my friends and I am sure that they too will sign up.

I want to take this opportunity to say hello and express my thanks to the JamPlay staff and community. This website is simply superb and I was so impressed I signed up for a year within minutes of my first visit. I picked up the guitar a few years ago but my study and practice was limited to about one year at that time. I was fortunate to try several guitars, including several electric and acoustic models from friends who play in a band, and ultimately settled on a Ovation Legend and a fingerpicking playing style.

As is probably the case for most, life just gets in the way sometimes and I let myself get out of a routine and while I would pick up the guitar almost daily to just play some chords, I wasn't progressing in skill. Eventually, the guitar ended up in a corner and has been there for the last 6+ months. Now that my two kids have been asking for guitars (ages 8 and 10), I have made a re-commitment to significantly improve my skill and knowledge of the guitar in 2008 and share this wonderful instrument with them.

Another goal of mine is to master six holiday songs by Christmas next year and record them on CD as a gift to family and friends, including a very challenging song (Cannon in D), which I may ask JamPlay to help teach me. I want to thank JamPlay for making available this fantastic tool to myself and other aspiring guitar players and for providing me the opportunity to chase my goals with a re-newed enthusiasm and motivation. Here's to 2008! =)

I have had no technical difficulties whatsoever, (I'm using an imac 20" g5, and comcast broadband) and I am working my way through Steve's beginners lessons. Steve is excellent, and the video quality is very good. It will take me some time to get everything out of the video lessons, but I am having fun and enjoying the process.

JamPlay is something I have been looking for and eventually waiting for, for many, many years now. I'm totally impressed with what I've seen and tried so far, and it seems you've really put much thought and work into this. The website seems to be well tested and technically flawless. Everything looks very professional.

As regards the material itself I've only just begun to watch Steve's stuff. I like his style very much, but I look forward to studying the others as well. I'm a singer myself, but often feel handicapped when trying to write songs, or when I want to perform solo. So that´s why I'm here.

I really hope you are here to stay and will multiply your number of members, the quality of the service demands it (and I demand it!)...

I just wanted to say thanks for the great guitar lessons! You've really filled in a lot of "gaps" in my theory, and made it extremely easy to learn. No joke, I find myself having a hard time going to bed at night, and can't wait to get up to view the next lesson...

I've been playing for 20 plus years, and most of what I've learned has been through studying books on my own. It's great to be able to watch you do it and explain everything so it's easy to get. Like I said, you've helped fill in a lot of holes in my playing. I may have known what to do before, but now I'm starting to really understand why I'm doing it!

I am one of 3 worship leaders at our church, which has about 800 to 1000 members, so I get people asking me for guitar lessons all the time. The problem is I don't have the time to help them. It's even better than I expected. I put my guitar to one side while I watched through a few of Brad Henecke's lessons to see what was in store for me (I've watched up to lesson 20), and I must say that I'm very impressed. Even just watching Brad play has put plenty of fresh ideas into my head after many years of being 'stuck in a rut'. I'm really looking forward to going over the lessons again properly and rating myself for each lesson. I expect that when my monthly subscription runs out, I'll be renewing it with a yearly subscription, after all, learning guitar, no matter how experienced you are, is a never-ending process, so it stands to reason that my membership of Jamplay will be never ending.

The only complaint I have so far is that Brad Henecke won't send me that lovely guitar of his! (I've already got a Gibson SG Special...but hey...i'm a greedy bastard) :)

All in all...Jamplay rocks! So yeah, I'm very happy with it :)

I can only say that since joining i have not been able to put down my guitar (it has been on its stand for almost 2 years) Now has new strings, cleaned up and rockin, the lessons are brilliant, the tutors are switched on, articulate and very cool at getting the message over, (plus all amazing players)

Comments after a few days. Signing up was easy -- didn't have any problems. Actually, I put in my credit card number wrong at first, but it was all setup to try it again, so that went smoothly. I like that it went right to creating my profile and then right to the main page of jamplay -- felt like it was guiding me through things. The layout of the site is awesome: I instantly knew what I needed to click on to go where... In all honesty, I like everything about jamplay and can think of nothing I don't like The layout of the site makes complete sense 2 seconds after you see it. The video quality is high. I use the progress bar for the lessons to see where I left off and what I need to work more on. The few times I've thought "I could use this", I looked and it was there (like when I was wishing I had a diagram of a chord Steve was using, and it was there in the page below the video or in the supplemental section). Even the price seems great: $20 a month seems more then fair for what's offered.

I just joined the site like a day ago - and I feel the urge to send you a letter to describe my first impressions of the site.

It's simply amazing. The amount of work put into the site is incredible and the layout of the site is so well done. Granted I haven't started learning, but when everything is so well laid out for you it's hard not to get excited about learning more and more about guitar playing.

I have subscribed to one of these guitar learning sites online before. I was not impressed, only few of the lessons contained video clips and the teacher was way to dry for my taste. I think I visited the site like 2-3 times and simply gave up. I'm very assured that this won't be the case now!

The front-end of the site is very detailed and contains alot of content. Not enough to skip the bill - but has loads to get a guy like me excited about the program. I look forward to improve my skills here and be a part of this wonderful community you guys created.

It's like nothing I've ever encountered as far as it's content is concerned. Just this morning I went into a music store and somehow I ended up on the "musical instruction DVD" aisle only to become suddenly more grateful for the site's existence. For music+text combos about 90 minutes in length and with focus on a single style of music they were asking about 40$. Compare that you JamPlay's 4 instructors, each with hours of instruction and pages of printable reference material, encompassing all the essential genres for less than half that; I can't help but feel like I got a great deal.
