Numbed and Sore Fingers - August 29th, 2007 (1 minutes, 35 seconds)Brandon asks "I was wondering if there was any way to cut down on the amount of numbness i get in my left hand after practicing on my guitar? I only recently started playing and have found the numbness on my fingertips to be a nuisance at my job. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated." View ResponseBotleneck - November 6th, 2007 (6 minutes, 11 seconds)Vegarbakken asks: "Hi! I've just bought myself a botleneck (metal). Do you have any lessons or tips for me? I've bought it because I love to play rough blues, old style, on my acoustic guitar - so if you can post my some cool blues licks I would be glad. Take care - Vegar " View Response- September 24th, 2008 (5 minutes, 38 seconds)Freddyb asks, "will changing the pickups change the tone on my ele.guitar and what would be good for deep tones for blues and how far from the stings should my pick ups be THANKS" View ResponseMuting Sounds - May 13th, 2008 (1 minutes, 50 seconds)Fire_Heart asked "Hi ! View ResponseFast Picking - July 18th, 2008 (3 minutes, 34 seconds)StephenWhan asks, "Can you give any advice as to how to improve fast picking techniques? By way of example, I've been messing around with the intro to Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years" for a while now and find that I keep missing the string every 3-4 picks. Either I miss the string altogether, or I dig too deep into the preceding note and it throws off my rhythm. I've tried practicing without using my left hand and get fairly accurate relatively quickly, but as soon as I re-introduce the left and start depressing strings, I go right back to missing strings again. Slowing down, I'm 100%, so it's the tempo and length of the repetition that's throwing me off. Any and all help, as always, is greatly appreciated. Jam on!" View Response
