Rhoadsfreak10 asks, "I am having a problem with string buzz, especially when I'm picking something aggressively. It isn't due to fretting notes and chords in the wrong place because I don't have that problem when not being aggressive. I have raised the action on the guitar, to the point where they are almost more suited to playing slide but that hasn't helped. Any advice?" Lucasholland asked "Hey guys, in addition to my other open Q&A I've got another question: When playing (especially on the low E string) should there be a gap between my hand and the neck or is it okay for my hand to touch the neck (and to mute the high E) while doing my exercises on the low E string. I realize that it's not okay for the high E to be muted when you're playing a chord that needs that note but in other situations (like finger exercises) is it okay for that to be the case or is it a bad habit I should correct? Ginrose asks: "I'm not a rank beginner, but since it's been so many years since I've played the guitar, I started back from the beginning with beginner lesson 1. Steve demonstrated how to tune with the fifth fret method and an electric tuner. Fine and good. I already knew those methods. However, my teacher years ago taught me to tune using harmonics - The harmonic tone on the 6th string 5th fret is the same as the open 1st string. Long ago that was my preferred method but now I can't remember how to tune the rest of the strings. Can Steve or any of the other teachers help here?" View Response

dllfiles asks "Just was curious on whats the easiest way to do tremolo picking. Im learning Knights of Cydonia right now, and some of the song is temolo picked. I have a hard time doing that or will I just get better by practicing more? I have a Fender thin pick so that seems to help. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!" View Response
