- August 7th, 2008 (1 minutes, 33 seconds)Humestar101 asks, "Hey Jamplay, Jake here, and I wanted to know how to use a talk box. I got the Rocktron Banshee, but not the Banshee 2, just the first one. I hooked it up, turned it on, and...it didn't interact with my guitar at all. Do i absolutely NEED a mic to use it? If not, what do i do? Thanks for helping out a desperate guitarist!" I have tried putting my thumb in line with my first finger and also running my thumb along the neck pointing toward the nut but both cause a lot of pain around the base of my thumb when I move position. The only way I can kind of do it is by bending my thumb in almost a right angle shape and using the tip, not the pad,to press on the back of the neck but this makes for quite a lot of movement and time to get from open to barre chords and vice versa. Any suggestions? (Apart from sell my guitar ! ) Love the lessons Steve." I am mainly interested in a nice melodic metal sound possibly just a really filthy textured sound nice and crisp which would be really easy to pinch harmonic on. So any suggestions on what i should use????" View Response
