Video Question:

February 11th, 2008 - Mav67 asks, "Okay here is a little problem I am having just now. I am playing the acoustic guitar and I am having problems deploying palm muting. I just wondered if anyone could suggest any exercises to help get over this little hurdle. I would be eternally grateful if I could get some help with this as it is starting to really annoy me."

Clean Sound with Barre Chords - June 9th, 2008 (2 minutes, 19 seconds)
nepatsfansc asks, "I have gotten pretty good at playing barre chords and I can get a good clean sound while playing the chord. My problem is moving between chords, whenever I do, the strings make a loud screeching sound from my fingers rubbing along them. How to I fix this? Thanks, this site is awesome- Stephen" View Response

Stevenstratt asked "Hey guys. I Have a custom made guitar. It was made by stevens stringed instruments. They are no longer around unfortunately. It is a fender strat copy with a schuller made floyd rose tremolo system. It has 3 seymour duncan pickups. It is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. I use dean markley blue steel regular strings. I've had the guitar tuned by professionals but it doesn't seem to hold it's intonation very well. Maybe it's the strings. I also have a les paul with the same problem. I've played on friends guitars with the same problem. How do you get a guitar to have a perfect pitch. Thanks. I hope this is a video response question." Strumming - February 5th, 2008 (2 minutes, 57 seconds)
Erk1024 says, "Hi, After trying out several other teaching web site, this is by far my favorite! When you are strumming up and down, do you turn your hand a little bit on the up-strums? It seems like my down strums are OK, but when I up-strum the pick seems like it wants to catch a little bit. It seems to work better with a thinner pick. Do you roll your hand a bit so the pick is at an angle to the strings, or do you always keep it perpendicular? Thanks! Eric" View Response
Recyling Old Guitar Strings - May 23rd, 2008 (1 minutes, 70 seconds)
Barndad24 asks, "Sence I've been playing guitar I've changed a lot of string and I always feel guilty throwing the old string out. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to reuse or recycle old guitar string. Do string manufactures offer any recycling programs for old string. Throwing it out seems like such a waste." Humestar101 asks, "Hey Jamplay, Jake here, and I wanted to know how to use a talk box. I got the Rocktron Banshee, but not the Banshee 2, just the first one. I hooked it up, turned it on, and...it didn't interact with my guitar at all. Do i absolutely NEED a mic to use it? If not, what do i do? Thanks for helping out a desperate guitarist!" View Response
