Date: February 19th, 2008 | Length: 2.17 | Instructor: Matt Hammond

Hsco askedm "I'm asking you this question because you seem to know ACDC very well. When I'm playing the beginning riff to highway to hell I'm getting a real bad buzzing or squealing noise when I transition from D to the rock G chord. It's in the beggining of the song, do I need to find a new chord to try to fit it in to the song. I've tried to palm mute and I can still hear it. Josh Alloway." Knoemee says, "Hi Steve, I was browsing the CHORD library, it seems quite limited. I couldn't find any slash chords. For example, C/E, E/G#, A/C# etc. Was quite disappointed. I just signed up as a member yesterday for 3 months. It's either what I see is what I from the Jamplay's Chord Library or did i missed out in any links in JAMplay website? Thanks! Dawn" View Response

Giardja asks, "I am a beginner guitarist that happens to own three guitars. One is a classical guitar; the other two are steel string guitars with different neck shapes, neck widths and scale lengths. (One of the steel string guitars has a “D”” shape neck with a 1.8” wide nut width and the other has a “V” shaped neck with a more traditional 1.7” wide nut width). Can you comment on the advantages or disadvantages of practicing and learning with different guitars? Will this hinder or help my progress?" View Response

luelennon asks, "Hello everybody, my question is the following: I play the guitar (by ear and have a very basic musical knowledge) but have always played rhythm. I would like to learn lead. What would you say would be the best way to start? I am now trying to learn to read tablatures, but there are a lot of terms that I don´t know what do they mean ( Riff, Fill, etc), about this, is there any lesson regarding how to read the tablature? Thank you very much. Regards Lue" View Response
