Alternate Picking Strokes - October 10th, 2007 (2 minutes, 56 seconds)
Thomas1603 says, "Hey guys, I've been having a hard time with my alternate picking techniques, I know it's not completely NECESSARY but I would like to be able to improve it since I would like to play a little faster, It's just that I can't seem to coordinate my hand very well. Anything you guys can help me with?" View Response
Small hands - April 21st, 2008 (3 minutes, 12 seconds)
Martin says, "Hi, Great website. Only problem is I'm spending more time watching than practicing!! I currently use a Epiphone Black Beauty Les Paul Custom. This is a great guitar but it has a thick neck and my hands are quite small. Could you recommend a thin neck guitar that would help any of us with small hands? I think a thin neck would certainly help. Cheers, Martin" View Response
Frett Buzz - March 10th, 2008 (2 minutes, 20 seconds)
Vulg4r asks, "I purchased an Acoustic guitar on November 5th 2007. For the first few months, I had no problems. Now lately the 12th fret, every string buzzes, very noticeably. I've tried changing the strings, and adjusting the truss rod. Is there any other advice you can give me before I bring it to my local, overpriced guitar shop?" View Response
Playing on Electric and Acoustic - December 9th, 2008 (1 minutes, 37 seconds)
Nrm3304 wrote "I've been playing guitar for about 6 months now. I started out with an acoustiuc and then bought an electric. I find myself playing the acoustic more. I will learn new stuff on the acoustic, but I find it hard to play on the electric. I'm mostly having strumming issues. I don't know what to do. I like playing both guitars. Do you have any suggestions to make the electric easier to play?" View Response
A Minor Pentatonic Scale Positions - May 12th, 2009 (6 minutes, 42 seconds)
Hcso asked "My question is for Brad Henecke. I have memorized and have been practicing the 4 positions of the A minor pentatonic scale. I am trying to get to a point where I can go to any position and just play solos out of a box or position. I'm having a hard time with this. Does it matter if you start out on the 6 th string going up the position or should I start on the first string and work down the position trying to pick notes. I watch you and it looks like you do both and I imagine your suppose too. I find a pattern of my own that I like and then I'm stuck because I try to jump into another position and it don't sound right at all lol. Hope this makes sense. I really enjoyed the lessons, however haven't learned the 5th position yet. Josh." View Response
