Video Question: Strumming with a Flat Pick

September 10th, 2007 - JeFrank asks "I'm finding strumming with a flat pick more difficult than meets the eye. I can strum down fine, but I find that when I strum up, I catch the strings in a very jagged way. Any tips about that? Also, how much of the pick should emerge from your fingers? Does your hand angle at all as it goes up and down? Thanks!"

Learning Songs for Guitar - April 20th, 2007 (2 minutes, 00 seconds)
I think you guys should get several different styles of songs to learn with audio and video. It would be great to be able to take a lesson and then have a bunch of songs to choose from to learn while continuing to take lessons. From what I can see there are only three songs to learn right now and only one has audio and tabs. Is that right or am I looking in the wrong place? I'm enjoying the lessons so far. Thanks Steve View Response

Jerzi78 asks, "I am just starting out and have been going through the video tutorials. My question is how fast should you advance to the next lesson? For example alternate picking and neck finger exercises, should you work at these until it can be done as fast as some of the instructors on here? Will it slow you down in the long run or make it much easier with hard finger positions and playing different chords when learning a song? Thanks, Jason" View Response
