Video Question: Vibrato

October 31st, 2007 - Robearle asks ": I'm not doing too badly with vibrato with the 2nd & 3rd finger because I can use the 1st as some sort of anchor point or brace. But I'm having real problems with the 1st finger. I've watched brad playing, and he does it perfectly, he makes it look real easy, but I just don't seem to able to get the hang of it. Any suggestions that might help? Cheers, Rob. "

Singing - October 31st, 2007 (1 minutes, 19 seconds)
Maddee asks: "I have been playing for about 5 years now and in all that time I have never been able to sing while playing. I seem to be concentrating on the rhythm, the strumming or what chord comes next. As soon as I open my mouth to sing I lose the rhythm. Do you have any simple exercises for a simple guy that can help in this area? Thanks in advance! Keep the great lessons coming! Maddee" View Response
Right Hand Hammer-Ons, Tapping Question - June 9th, 2008 (6 minutes, 00 seconds)
bator82 asks, "Hey guys, thanks for the lessons. I was just wondering if any of the instructors knew how to do hammer ons with both hands. It seems like even when I know the notes, I have a hard time getting the sustain I want when I have to hammer on with my right hand. Does it have to do with the amp's gain, the guitar's natural sustain, pickup volume and tone, or do I need a compressor, or again, is it all in the technique. If so, are there exercises I can do to help out with right hand hammer ons and even slides? Thanks in advance." View Response
Tuning guitar - December 14th, 2007 (1 minutes, 23 seconds)
ghanshyam asks "Hello, I am a complete beginner at this so go easy on me. I have an electric guitar, and electronic tunning tool (where you plug the 120mm jack from the guitar into the tuner). When I am tunning what frequency should I use? Do I use the default 440 frequency for all strings? Thank You" View Response
Mark Lincoln - Singing - April 21st, 2008 (3 minutes, 10 seconds)
Ricky54326 says, "I have a question, I was at the store the other day and I saw some spray that's supposed to help singing or something, what does it exactly do? Is it worth buying?" View Response
- June 20th, 2008 (4 minutes, 60 seconds)
Kvdaly asks, "First off, I love the lessons. I started with a bad habit of resting my right pinkie on the pickguard as an "anchor point", and I'm trying to break the habit. I'm having trouble deciding where my right hand should be placed when I want to play cleanly. (Most of my interests lie in hard rock & metal, so for the most part, a little palm muting sounds great, but not "clean"). Any suggestions?" View Response
