View ResponseStrumming - February 5th, 2008 (2 minutes, 57 seconds)Erk1024 says, "Hi, After trying out several other teaching web site, this is by far my favorite! When you are strumming up and down, do you turn your hand a little bit on the up-strums? It seems like my down strums are OK, but when I up-strum the pick seems like it wants to catch a little bit. It seems to work better with a thinner pick. Do you roll your hand a bit so the pick is at an angle to the strings, or do you always keep it perpendicular? Thanks! Eric" View ResponseLearning to Read Tabs - May 13th, 2008 (5 minutes, 24 seconds)Rudydog asked "So I finished phase one @ phase 2. Was great but then I got to phase 3 (learning music). I was noticing that some of the frets were worn down and had flat places on them. Would this make an already difficult task of playing this instrument even harder? Should I refret the worn ones or do I just need to suck it up and mash til my fingers bleed? Thanks, stace" View Response- July 10th, 2008 (4 minutes, 70 seconds)Luelennon asks, "Hello everybody, my question is the following: I play the guitar (by ear and have a very basic musical knowledge) but have always played rhythm. I would like to learn lead. What would you say would be the best way to start? I am now trying to learn to read tablatures, but there are a lot of terms that I donīt know what do they mean ( Riff, Fill, etc), about this, is there any lesson regarding how to read the tablature? Thank you very much. Regards Lue" View Response
