Ed played when he was younger but life got in the way. Recently, he picked the guitar back up again. He got discouraged with books and couldn't commit to in-person lessons. With JamPlay, he's way ahead of where he started and it's all at his own pace.

I have been a Jamplay member since December of 2014. Since that time I have learned and progressed so much strictly using Jamplay as my one learning source. I will remain a Jamplay member for life as there is always so much to learn and work on. It truly is the best Guitar learning website available today. I wish I could give this great company 10 stars because their Live Workshop courses are phenomenal !!! They usually are 8 or 10 week courses and they are awesome! I'm a Jamplay member for life.
JamPlay is fantastic, awesome and amazing!!! I am a beginner guitarist that has just begun, the lessons are clean, clear and precise with options to interact with people at Jam Play, I have already been able to play along with music, which is a personal achievement, I would not give away for almost anything. I recommend Jam Play as the go to instruction for every guitarist because the lessons are of the best quality I have experienced! Thank you Jam Play you have a lifer here!
Hi, My name is Padric and I am a student with JamPlay. They know me as **********, I feel a real affinity for these folks and I couldn't place it. I recognize they're pro's anyone would but that wasn't it. The instruction is both live and recorded also there are all sorts of tools and cool things to help you along. And the badges, I love the badges, they are a yard stick you can measure your progress against. It really is the best guitar learning expirience I've ever had.
Not everyone has the optimal time / monetary / geographic mobility to sign up for lessons in person with a qualified instructor. JamPlay aims to solve these issues for most with their online offerings at a cost most can afford, especially considering the incredible range of products, services and instructors they've assembled. Kudos to the entire team, and a personal thank you for providing such a well-rounded, quality online offering.
To be honest, I was reluctant to try JamPlay. I am so glad I did! The amount of talent that's at your fingertips is amazing! I'm at a starting over phase, and until now, I didn't realize how much I had missed as far as proper teaching and training. Having a large selection of teachers, and their own techniques, is helping me learn to play the instrument I've loved! I just wish this were available to me many years ago! Thanks JamPlay
Great online learning tool. I use JamPlay for learning guitar and the material is top notch... Great customer service, they are fast to respond to questions, account issues, etc. Many instructors to learn from and many levels avalible. Best money spent online in a long time, can't say enough great things about JamPlay. 5 Stars!
What a fantastic online experience the staff at Jamplay have provided for those looking to learn or improve their guitar skills. The instructors and lessons are thorough, easy to follow and fun. And not to forget the absolute world class customer service. Everyone on the staff who has aided me by phone or email was also terrific. The care with which they treat their customers should be the model for every company who deal with the public A++ all around.
JamPlay has so many choices for beginning guitar players that it can be difficult to choose. That's a great problem to have, I found two teachers that I like, one is a little more methodical than the other, but combined I found they compliment each other. There are so many wonderful tools on JamPlay, I'm really looking forward to getting the basics down so I can move on to the more advanced features. By the way, the live chat sessions are great!

"JamPlay is the ultimate way to learn..."
JamPlay is the ultimate way to learn guitar. I have been playing guitar since last year and I cannot find a better learning app for the guitar. It's worth every penny. These instructors finely detail everything I want to learn and also include extras like tablature to go along with the lessons. Perfect for beginner to intermediate musicians.
"Just started using JamPlay"
Just started using Jam Play, my opinion is a little limited. So far so good, really like the way songs are taught. I've tired learning some songs from you-tube, the songs on you-tube are taught well, but you have to rewind a lot and the camera angles are tough to see, especially when it comes to the finger picking. On jam play the fingering is play slowly and repeated to make sure you get it, just what I need until I improve.
"University of JamPlay"
This is a great program, and if you are willing to commit to the lessons and practice the exercises, you will learn guitar. I am just starting at the beginners level, and I am confident that I will learn to play the guitar. The instructors seem very knowledgeable about the guitar, music theory, and music history. I plan to gain as much knowledge as I can absorb, and practice-practice-practice...
"JamPlay Top of the league!"
JamPlay is out of this world! I have just begun playing the guitar and I am making leaps and bounds with the instructors at Jam Play, they make learning fun, exciting and the lessons are clean, clear and precise, for the first time learning the guitar has been made easy, I am addicted to my instrument thanks to Jam Play and I know with JamPlay I will be able to Rock out on my Guitar with in the year!!! Thanks Jam Play you have a Lifer here!!!!
I'm a beginning guitar player and am in my first month of membership. I've selected one course and am midway through the course and find it very informative, the instructor is great for beginners and doesn't get too deep into music theory. Very easy to use so far. I feel I'm making good progress. Maybe I missed it earlier, but it would have been nice to have a tutorial on all the tabs on the site. I've discovered through trial and error on which work best for me.
"A fantastic resource for all levels"
I travel a lot so couldn't commit to weekly lessons. Despite that, I really wanted to work on my guitar skills and bring them up to something better than college strumming. Jamplay has resources for all levels and a multitude of styles. There are enough teachers, so you will find one or more that meets your learning style. I've been a member since 2014 and just signed up for another year. Well worth the money.
"knowledge/experience gap at times"
I really like just about everything on Jamplay.com. It is extremely convenient for me. The only thing that concerns me is that some lesson sites jump from extremely easy to advanced beginner with nothing in between. This occurs in genre lessons. If I could not read music there would be times I was a little lost. I have not investigated beyond genre. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience on Jamplay.com.
"A Great place to start"
I have only been using Jamplay.com for a few weeks and have found the lesson material easy to follow and a great way to learn guitar. Also you can go at your own pace, and any lessons that you find more challanging can be viewed as many times as you need! All round a great learning experiance.
"Something for everyone"
Regardless of your experience level or the style you want to learn, you will find several instructors ready to help you. Unfortunately I had to give up on the type of Blues I wanted to play because it requires barre chords and the arthritis in my hands make it painful to try to make a barre chord.
Great content and a wonderful array of teachers delivering it. I've not been with jamplay.com for long, but I'm really enjoying learning with them. Any negatives? Only a couple. 1.) The android app doesn't appear to be compatible with my particular kindle. 2.) There is no way to cache videos offline for circumstances where you have no internet.
"Excellent so far"
Been a memeber for about 30 days and i couldnt be more pleased. You get access to a wealth ofinformation and if you practice you can learn to play the guitar. I have tried several different instructors and found them to be excellent. After 30 days I would highly recommend.
"Great site, great instructors!"
I started learning only about a month ago and I have made great progress. My family and friends are amazed at my progress... JamPlay makes it easy to grasp knowledge and put it to practice.
et me go on record and say JAM PLAY is an amazing site!!
I just wanted to comment on how fantastic a product JamPlay is. I signed up for a year with few expectations. The breadth of instructors is amazing. The number of courses and the progress report was easy to use and get started with. I really feel like I am showing improvement. All of that is worth the price of admission but the live jamchat is simply over the top. I have been listening to it in the background while at work and have learned so much just by being around and listening to people chat about music for the past week. In particular, yesterday’s sessions were very helpful for me. Marcello Berestovoy started talking theory, which I really enjoyed. He unlocked a concept of singing the notes and playing them as an exercise to help get the songs and thoughts expressed through the guitar. The hand is just an instrument. Steve Eulberg had a session on songwriting that was active and included all participants. It was the first time I had been involved with the songwriting process and gave me confidence that I could start doing it, even at my level. Lauren Passarelli played some great songs from suggestions by participants and helped me with a chord progression of a song I have been working on for a while. Chris Liepe then went through the CAGED system and made it really accessible. I was blown away. This morning, Miche Fambro, was playing. He is simply outstanding and didn’t make anyone who was asking questions feel silly. His talent level is through the roof! And, finally, this afternoon, DJ Phillips helped me tab out another some of the difficult parts I have been having problems with on another song. The quality of your instructors, their demeanor, and accessibility is just amazing to me. To have access to such talented artists and be able to get individualized response to questions is very very valuable. Private lessons would cost a fortune in comparison. You have really brought a service with such incredible value to a price-point that is accessible for most people who are serious about improving their skills on guitar. I sincerely want to thank you for all that you provide and look forward to being able to improve my playing to the point of being able to share music with others.
It's even better than I expected. I put my guitar to one side while I watched through a few of Brad Henecke's lessons to see what was in store for me (I've watched up to lesson 20), and I must say that I'm very impressed. Even just watching Brad play has put plenty of fresh ideas into my head after many years of being 'stuck in a rut'. I'm really looking forward to going over the lessons again properly and rating myself for each lesson. I expect that when my monthly subscription runs out, I'll be renewing it with a yearly subscription, after all, learning guitar, no matter how experienced you are, is a never-ending process, so it stands to reason that my membership of Jamplay will be never ending. The only complaint I have so far is that Brad Henecke won't send me that lovely guitar of his! (I've already got a Gibson SG Special...but hey...i'm a greedy bastard) :) All in all...Jamplay rocks! So yeah, I'm very happy with it :)
I have to admit, this has been the best place to learn EVERYTHING about playing the guitar and learning specifics about the guitar in general. I give you people A+ 100% rating. I did not even sign on in the first few days of my membership. Busy trying to learn from a dvd in a book. I could have been so much more heading to where I want to be, and that is NOT a rock star, but a musician. I'm still learning your site, you have so much to offer. Keep up whatever your doing because I am now learning...
I am so impressed with your site and lessons! I just joined a few days ago and have listened to the three beginning lessons from most of your guitar teachers. I've become a much better guitar player in just a couple days! I will recommend your site to all my friends. Thanks you so very much for your great service! Katie B.
Great website, guys! i've tried out the fingerstyle and bluegrass lesson sets so far and can see there's going to be more than enough to keep me busy for a while. the teachers for both lessons are top notch too. thanks!
I am really loving your site. I have been trying to learn to play guitar for the past 5 years or so, and this is the first time that I really feel like I have a structured routine, which is where I learn best. Great lessons, great community. I love listening to Marc Lincoln's live chat sessions that he has done over the past few days (I hope these continue from him and others), and I have really got a lot out of reading other people's posts and answers on the forums. I have settled on using Steve Eulberg's phase 1 lessons after trying everyone's. The others were great, but Steve seems to explain things in a way that makes more sense to me quicker. My fingers hurt but my motivation has never been higher!
I've been a member for three days now and I am amazed at how much I have learned from Steve's Bluegrass lessons. And I haven't even completed all of the lessons yet! Your site is much better than the new fall TV season. I am looking forward to starting on Phase I lesson one to unlearn and relearn and put some new life into my guitar playing. Thanks for a great site.
I've been a member of Jamplay for all of three days and I'm very, very impressed. If I'd know it would be this easy to learn to play a guitar I would have started a long time ago. Keep up the good work. Thanks for having a great site that delivers as advertised and excellent customer realations.
I am really enjoying my membership. I've been playing guitar for 40 years (30 of those in a church praise and worship team) and have developed a unique style but was very limited in my skills. Jam play has opened a lot of possibilities for me. All the instructors that I have seen so far are knowledgeable and personable. The site is very well organized and the amount of info is staggering. I'm so glad I found Jam Play when looking online for tabs.
Out of all of other sites that I have looked at (fee & free) JamPlay is by far the best I have come across! Keep up the good work and LOVE your site!
Hi: I just wanted to let you know that the classes are awesome. I been practicing for about a year without jamplay and still find the phase one lessons to be incredibly well. I am currently doing the Mark, David, and Jims Lessons. I practice about three hours everyday with eachday a new or different area of concentration. I Just wanted to say that my skills are definitely improving and I think jamplay works for anyone. Thanks Jose
Dear JamPlay I am really enjoying the program. Lessons are easy to understand and the instructors are very professional and knowledgeable. I look forward to advancing my guitar skills using JamPlay. Thank you.
JamPlay ROCKS. So far, I'm thrilled that I found out about JamPlay. I'm following Steve's beginner lessons and he's awesome. I feel like I'm in the room with him. Things I love about JamPlay: > Screen size of the lesson videos (nice!) > The conversational presentation style > Multi-camera angles + diagrams > The pace + depth of the lessons
Thanks for running such a great site. I'm on there every day, for at least 3-4 hours and definitely getting a LOT out of my membership. Working with the lessons from Orville Johnson has been wonderful. This is far and away much better than taking expensive weekly guitar lessons at a local music store. I have no complaints whatsoever. I know my quarterly membership will keep me busy for the next 3 months! Max T.
Hi JamPlay, I just love the site. It's really helpful...even more so than some of the private lessons in the past. You have put together a powerful set of tools and the teachers are clear. Nice video shooting too. Glad to have found JamPlay and it's put the joy back into playing again. Angela
I recently registered with Jamplay and knew nothing about playing the guitar. I chose to begin with Steve Eulberg, and so far I am having a great time! Steve has a great sense of humor and does a superb job explaining concepts. I'm so pleased with this program and am relieved that I can learn guitar at my own pace and in my own home. Thanks!
Dear all at Jamplay, Just a quick note to say how useful I have found the site. I have been playing the guitar for around 20 years (am of good intermediate standard) but have learnt more in the last few days watching the phase 2 lessons than in the last 10 years. The supplemental lesson materials are also very good. The benefits of the site have so far exceeded my expectations. Regards, Paul L.
I don't have any questions but did want to pass along that I'm very impressed with JamPlay and Steve Eulberg in particular. It's not often anymore that the you purchase something and then find that it actually exceeds your expectations. So I'm very pleased so far.
JamPlay, I am enjoying your site immensely. It is well organized, comprehensive, and most of all a lot of options and information. I stopped private lessons to join JamPlay and this is by far a better choice for me. Thank you for providing such a valuable service. Patty D.
I'm really enjoying my membership with Jam Play! The instructors are very easy to follow and the cost is well worth it! So glad I found this instead of paying outrageous rates for thirty minute private lessons!
Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that, I am enjoying jamplay very much. Cool place and I am learning loads. Is really the best site I found to learn to play the guitar. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The lessons are really well made. So continue the good job. Thanks for the support and help.
My name is Craig and I just wanted to say hello and let you know a little about me. I am a sixty-three year young individual, who has always wanted to play the guitar. The first experience with learning to play (twenty plus years ago) was the worst. The guitar I bought was an acoustic and it was a cheap one (I do not mean inexpensive). The strings over the fretboard were way too high to really play without excruciating pain to the finger tips. So much so I could only practice a couple of times a week. As a result I found myself discouraged and disappointed. Learning to play has been a constant desire. Over the last year I have put allot of time into understanding the finer points of what a fine instrument needs in order to make learning and playing a joy. Last month I bit the bullet and bought a Fender Stratocaster American Standard, a Line-6 Amp and electronic tuner. I chose an electric because I feel it will give me the versatility to play the different types of music I enjoy. During that early time period finding the sources for self learning was sparse to say the least. Not like today with the dawning of the Internet and the resources available to the novice player. After making my decision to learn again I started to look at the myriad of resources available online. Even with the abundant free information available I just could not find the detailed structured instruction I feel I need. It was beginning to think the only way I was going to get the lessons I wanted was with private lessons. During my search for lessons in my local area I happened across your web site. What a stroke of luck (or fate). After viewing your sample lessons I decided to go ahead and spend the $19.95 for a month of access. The month of access I bought was way beyond my expectations. You have a wealth of information, styles, genre and quality available is outstanding. The instructors are excellent. My experience with your site has breathed new life in my desire to learn the guitar. With the instrument I now have I find myself able to practice every day without the pain of my first experience. Although I only put in about ten to fifteen minutes a session I practice many sessions a day. Every day I see advancement and I must say it is not just my effort that makes the difference, it's the superb instruction I have experienced with your instructors and the content of the instruction material. Over the last month I have passed on your site to many friends who have the same desire to learn to play the guitar. I take them to your site through my access to show them firsthand the extent of instruction they can also enjoy. There is no doubt I will be extending my membership when my current access expires to a yearly membership.
Things are going great. I'm really enjoying the lessons and have learned lots. I really appreciate the way you film the lessons. It feels like you're just sitting with the instructor and being taught one on one. Kudos to you all. In the end, it's up to me to make it happen, but the JP experience will really benefit me along the way. There is SO much to view and immerse myself in. No excuses this time!! I gotta give you some props on the whole JP community you have built. Teachers, students, forums, chat, friends, live Q&A, etc.. Kinda like a virtual guitar university done at my own pace. Brilliant! MS
JamPlay is excellent! I love all aspects of the service. I could not be happier unless you added ukulele to the lessons :)
I am really enjoying the lessons. Steve Eulberg, is a great instructor. I play for at least one hour every night (if not more), and this weekend I seriously played for over 12 hours. Love the lessons!
You sent me a welcome email and offered for me to comment on my experience thus far. Thus far, I cannot over-emphasize how impressed I am with your service! This is an amazing website. What a gift in this day and age to have a resource like yours available for someone like me just starting to learn to play the guitar. Your service, your website is "totally awesome"! Thank you so much for your hard work, professionalism, and clear commitment to excellence. All of this for only $19 a month!!! WOW. Thank you SO much. Please feel free to quote me!
Hi JamPlay I thought I would save some money by choosing an online guitar tutor and found you are one of the best. I have been trying to play for some time now but want to move on. So far I am going through all your beginner sessions and am finding it very useful as a refresher but hope to move on to the second phase before too long. Oh by the way I am really enjoying the different styles and tutors, it makes it fun and challenging. Thanks
I'm finding the lessons very useful, I've played bass for years but i guess have always been a frustrated 6 string wannabe. Having the time to practice is the biggest problem. but being able to log in when i have a few minutes is very useful. Thanks.
I just wanted to let you guys know I was very happy with the bass lessons. Evan Brewer was made for JamPlay. I look forward to any new lessons he has. I am sure you already know but he is an excellent teacher. Very knowledgable and able to pass that knowledge on. Again thanks for having amazing instructors. I cannot wait until there are more lessons as well as live lessons available for the bass.
It's going GREAT! I'm a work from home mom and would have a hard time getting to guitar lessons otherwise. I really love how organized the site is and I love the teachers. I'm practicing about every other day and making my dream a reality! THANKS
JamPlay.com is the best guitar site I have ever been to. It offers supreme customer service. I also love how your additions of lessons to the site are almost everyday. It's wonderful! It's truly one of the best investments I have ever experienced. Now because of JamPlay.com my guitar skills are improving significantly! Thank you!!!
Wow guys I'm truly blown away! :) The site is absolutely incredible - it is without a doubt the best money I've spent online. Period! It truly is refreshing to know that even when the world has been so well connected (I live in Africa!) with every facet of any information available regarding absolutely anything one could hope to find in the form of the internet that one is still able to find absolute gems like jamplay.com. I can't believe I didn't find it earlier - I've been playing guitar for 6 years now (play professionally too) and this website has such an incredible wealth of information and invaluable insider tips into some of the intermediate to advanced guitar stuff. The site truly does cater for everyone - from the absolute noob right up to the elite. My excitement is so great, and the site so refreshing, that I feel like I've just picked up a guitar for the first time again! Congratulations on making the BEST site around - hands down! Wesley D.
Hi JamPlay I am really enjoying the teachings of Steve Eulberg. I have been playing the guitar for many years in various genres - folk, classical, and now leading worship, and Steve's teaching - even through the basics - is an inspiration. It is wonderful to be taught by someone who is clearly a gifted teacher. If only I had known about you years ago. I am certain that JamPlay's teaching methods will help me develop my playing skills and to become more creative. Thank you JamPlay regards John A
Hi folks, I just wanted to drop a line or two to the people who make Jamplay happen. Of all the sites that I have found online, you guys are without a doubt the BEST!! In the year or so I have been a member my playing has improved immensely. I love the recorded lessons and have learned a lot from them. Just those lessons alone are well worth the money, but the greatest addition to the site is the live Q and A’s. Although I haven’t been able to catch all the instructors online, I do get to participate in Mark Lincoln’s daily Q and A’s most days. Mark is a great performer but most of all he is a great instructor! He not only has the ability to teach…. He makes it fun too! He is definitely a valuable asset to your site! I know that you guys and gals are busy so thanks for taking the time to read this and give everyone a big pat on the back for a job well done. Thanks, Danny
Hi JamPlay! Absolutely amazing!!! I am on lesson 5 with Steve. He is great, I really understand what he says. He is a really good teacher! I wish I had done this 5 years ago!!!!!! (I'm sure there was no JamPlay back then...) Thanks! Diana
Good morning. I am 60 years old. During the earlier years of my life I played various brass instruments from elementary school through college. I played with the Kansas City Youth Symphony, Starlight Theater Orchestra, and soloed for a season with the Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra when I was a Junior in high school. I still hold my high school's record for the most blue ribbons at the State of Missouri solo music contests won by an individual. I am not bragging here, but setting a frame of reference for my comments which follow. You can imagine from this pedigree how many hours I have spent in private lessons with professional musicians. This brings me to the guitar side of life. My grandfather gave me an old Gibson steel string when I was 9. He taught me basic chords, to run right hand base with my thumb, and to pick out rhythm on the upper register strings with my three fingers. I never learned to read guitar music ! I just had a pretty good ear, and picked up what I could during the hay day of folk music with Peter, Paul and Mary, Smother's Brothers, et al. As I got older, I got bored playing chords and singing to myself and playing background chords at church. I love guitar music, Celtic, Windham Hill, and I think Leo Kotkke is a guitar gift from another planet. In my personal playing I could never figure out how to add a real melody line like these guys do to my own playing. I took about a half dozen lessons each from about 4 different instructors to get this added to my playing style. No luck. So I put the thing in it's case and banished the whole works to the closet. I haven't picked up the guitar for about 8 years. Through a series of coincidences I was presented with your web site and a classical guitar on Thanksgiving Day. I selected Jim Deeming and the Fingerstyle program. After about three days, I am with him through Phase 2, Lesson 5. I can even play the whole rip from the prelude to 'Leader of the Band' , following Jim's excellent tutoring. This is a musical miracle ! Can't say enough good things about Mr. Deeming, and about your program. Many thanks for offering such a terrific approach to learning mastery of an instrument. Even for old duffers like me ! With very best regards, Mike
I want to thank you for adding the almost daily live sessions. I especially enjoy the sessions with Mark Lincoln. I am basically a beginner but have received answers to questions that improved my learning curve greatly. Mark always brings up subjects that create a lot of enthusiasm and I always look forward to the next session. I take private lessons on the side and pay $20 for a half hour in which I get good instruction, but I won't give up my $20 per month Jamplay subscription where I get 3 hours of live interaction daily plus all the pre-recorded lessons; what a bargain!!! Great job; keep up the good work.
I have been enjoying my lessons. I've been playing guitar for a while, but I started at the beginning of the lesson set anyway (Jim Deeming) - and I've still been learning a lot of good and new things. I appreciate the short segments in the lessons because I often only have a short amount of time available and I can divide them into parts. I appreciate your customer friendly web site, which always lets you know where important information is located. We found your web page because my husband wanted to see if I could learn to play "Alice's Restaurant." It's going well and I'm pleased that we found a lot more too. Julie
Your website is great. I am familiar with it and love it! I'm not a great guitarist by any means but you helped me improve from just playing cords and basic strumming to being able to add bass notes and picking a little. I wanted to improve my playing and through Jamplay I definitely have. Your pricing is great as well. I look forward t o another year of learning and improving my guitar playing ability. You have an awesome website and I do recommend you to anyone who has expressed interest in learning guitar. Keep up the great work!
I am truly impressed with what this website has to offer. I have taken private lessons to brush up on my technique, and at $20 for a half hour, wasted my money! Jamplay is truly a great teaching site. I'm glad that the content actually changes, unlike most other sites. And not only that, but changes often! Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see what you guys are gonna teach me next! Jason
Even though I haven't had all the time I've wanted, I have to tell you that I am already SUPER satisfied with my decision to join Jamplay. Just got off the live chat with Nick Kellie. Dude's fantastic. Lessons are great, instructors are great, as far as the ones I've had time to check out. Tools are great. The chord charts and scales are so easy to look up when I need a hint. Don't know if any of my friends are taking my advice , but I'm telling everyone I know that plays, or is learning to play, to join this site. My only problem is # of hours in a day. Wish I could quit my job and play all day. Just wanted to let you know. Daniel
I would like to express a "Big Thank You" to JamPlay for how far you have brought me over the last 6 months or so. In particular, I would like to say THANKS to Brad Henecke for his examplary stlye of instruction. A great blend of theory and technique with the nescessary formula of "Pratice = Gratification". I am so pleased that the music I would chose to play, is now a source of such great pleasure as apposed to a frustrating workout. The "weight is off " and the workout is a lifestyle. Thx Brad Thank you all. Peter H.
The JAMPLAY web site is terrific. I feel that it's doing everything that could be expected to help me progress learning the guitar. I have recommended the site to everyone that I meet who is trying to learn. After a couple of years of taking lessons from a local teacher, JAMPLAY is my ticket to learning what really interests me. Thank you.
G'day, I couldn't be happier with Jamplay. The video quality is excellent. The lessons are exactly what I had hoped for. The site is easy peasy to navigate. Steve Eulberg is an amazing teacher. My only complaint is that I can't stay home and practice all day...........I have to go to work to pay for the beautiful guitar I bought myself. Ha Ha. I will be recommending JamPlay to all my mates. Cheers, Cher
I love Jamplay. I love Steve and Jim (The 2 I have taken lessons with so far). I love that I can learn at home, at my own time and pace. The instruction is very clear and I love The supplemental content pages. I love how I can keep track of where I am with the Progress feature. It will be by far the best $100 I will spend this year. I can't say enough good things about Jamplay. I would recommend it to everyone!! Thanks for a great site and resource for a newbie like me. I really am enjoying it and have learned SO much in the last 3 days!!!
I love your website! It's helped me out alot as a beginner, and I know I will learn even more as I become more experienced. The service is great and I couldn't be more pleased. Keep on rockin' JamPlay! I know I will!
I just wanted to say that I am looking forward to my lessons. It all started with a video I found on youtube. it was your teacher Mark explaining how to play the song Iris but the Goo Goo Dolls. I was so impressed by the short lesson I actually visited the site, something I rarely do. After browsing it I immediately subscribed and was again impressed with the multitude of options and tools you guys provide. I've taught myself for about 4 years now. I have tried professional (and terribly expensive), in person lessons and quit after one month. I've tried books that now collect dust on my shelf. I've looked through tabs online for specific songs and only find occasional success. Honestly, I feel with this site I have a chance to continue playing, learning and improving. I'm looking forward to my time with you guys. Thank you for the site!
I am 66 years young and I still got it! I would have never known this if it had not been for Jamplay! I feel like a 12 year old kid with a new guitar! Ha! I cannot express enough how great you're website is! It is for beginners and advanced pickers! I am an advanced picker and thought I had lost it but thanks to you all, I found it again! Even though I only play by ear, I have been a member a whopping whole two weeks now and have already got Brent's country shuffle and country blues down and of course with embellishments. Thank you all for your wonderful program!
Thank you. Love it so far. I'm a beginner. In the past, I've learned a bunch of open chords, tried some songs and nothing really worked. Now I have a regimented practice. Lessons and practice equal success. Twenty bucks a month is a no-brainer! Love it. You provide the lessons, I just have to follow - do what your instructors teach - Love it! Regards, Mark
This is a great service, I have been one on one with teachers, watched DVDs, learned from friends, however this has been the best learning tool I have ever had. Thank you James
OH MAN!!!! Am I glad you popped up on my screen. I went to your info home page & after listening to testiminonials & teachers I immidiatly joined & am I ever greatful I did, ( I've had several friends join as well). I can't believe how reasonable your lessons are & you offer unlimited access as well. I don't know who's idea this was, but you ALL deserve an "ATTA-BOY"
To whom it may Concern, I have been taking lessons from individuals and spending a lot of my own time learning how to play the guitar. JamPlay is hands down the best program I have ever been involved in! The individual lessons are just long enough to teach a lot without cramming in too much. The teachers are great at what they do and best of all, the descriptions and explanations are very concise and clear. So far I must say I am thoroughly impressed with what I have experienced so far! Keep up the great work! Sincerely John
I just wanted to say this weekend Workshop was incredible. I went to a Bluegrass Camp a few years ago and what made it great was that you were totally immersed in the music and classes, there were no distractions or long breaks from it. This was as close to that as you could possibly get. When I saw it posted I did all I could to make all of the sessions. Will did a fantastic job and kept the music coming, no boredom.
Your service is first rate! I started at the very beginning as I am waiting for my new Martin D28 to arrive on the 6 th of Oct. ( this weekend) My son is delivering it from Tommy Lee Music in Vancouver. I can hardly wait to see it. So I am without a guitar for a few more days as I gave my last guitar to one of my grandaughters as she is taking music right now. Anyway I would recommend your service to anyone as it is excellent! Yours truly, Darwin D.
I love Jamplay. My dad bought me a guitar before I was a teenager. But without good instruction, it was more of a dust collector than anything else. Now at 55 tears old, my dream of playing well is becoming a reality. My desire to play is driven by by a need to express myself in song and with my fine Martin HD28. I made a promiseto my HD28, and to myself, that I would do my very best to play sweet music. This was my own justification for purchasing such a fine guitar. Thank you for offering this great service over the internet. I am pleased with how far I have come with my music since I purchased my guitar on December 14, 2010. And, I feel very fortunate to have instructors like Steve Eulberg (hope I spelled it correctly) available @ Jamplay.
JamPlay, This is a great site! I am 42yrs old and I have been trying to teach myself to play Guitar for a couple of years now, with minimal luck. I learned techniques in the first lesson that I could not have found teaching myself. I was reluctant at first to pay for an internet course due to past experiences with online college and the current state of the economy, but the price was fair and the content of your site is vast. I am currently taking the beginners course by Steve Eulberg and he is highly professional and very informative. Thank you for the outstanding work on this site and please keep up the good work.
I just wanted to let you know that this is what I was looking for. I bought a starter guitar to try to learn and I bought some books but nothing made a connection until I found Jim Deeming at Jam Play. I had previously signed up for another web site and the guy could hardly talk because he was so nervous with the camera and he jumped all over the place. Nothing made sense to me and I was getting discouraged. The video quality was poor and it took forever to load. Good thing it didn't cost much because it's not worth much. The videos you have are outstanding and Jim is great! I am sure that all of the other instructors are just as good but, I chose to start with Jim because he has a "I want to teach you what I Love to do" appeal. I should be practicing but I just wanted to let you know that I like the site so far and say THANKS!
Hi Jamplay, Yeah everything is great! I've never signed up for a paysite before, so I was a bit skeptical. I've been learning off of a free website which was okay but I wanted more. I found a paysite before but it turned out to be a scam site. I checked out all of the testamonials and free lessons and information before signing up and decided to sign up. I searched for a coupon code and stumbled upon a review site and gave you guys top notches and that scam site really low marks which made me more reassured. Ever since signing up I have been nothing but impressed. Everything is amazing and I am just so happy with everything. You guys are awesome and I really like all the teachers you have, the progress report, metronome, chat, profiles, lessons, songs, everything. I couldn't be happier. Thank you very much, Jay
I have been taking free guitar lessons online for some time and was getting pretty damn tired of reading article after article and not really learning anything so I decided to try your site and let me tell you it was certainly worth the money. I dont like paying for websites but this one is def worth it, your teachers are great and i love that you actually add new lessons.
I just want to tell you that I am so impressed and pleased with the site...it has exceeded my expectations to this point. I have found that as an intermediate level player some other sites really only benefit beginners, but Jamplay offers plenty for all skill levels. One of the features I have really enjoyed is the live Q&A. Especially Mark Lincoln's sessions. He really has a topic for the day and "teaches" something. He answers any questions people have as well, but he actually gets you playing things (rhythms, songs, arpeggios, etc.) on his Q&A sessions and he shows how to do things for beginners and then shows how to take the same thing and make it more advanced for those that are beyond the beginner stage. I think that approach helps spur people to ask questions or prompts questions because we actually work on something specific instead of it just being a "free-for-all" chat with no direction. Seriously, his live Q&A is like having a private lesson. I really hope those will continue! I will tell anyone I know that is interested in learning guitar to join this site. I wish I would have had Jamplay when I was beginning to play! And I wish I would have found the site sooner!!! Thanks for all you do.
I just bought my Godin Freeway guitar, and I have never played guitar before. I didn't know where to start, then I found www.jamplay.com . It's AMAZING. Thanks for the great help you provide to us, it is REALLY worth 20$/month!!!!!
Hi JamPlay team. Just wanted to let you know that so far I LOVE your site!!!! I've been playing for 30+ years and have never had a formal lesson. I started when I had a brain injury and my mother thought it would be good therapy for me. I have recovered, and so will my guitar now that I have found you :) Cheers from Australia.
I have run an internet design and production company here in the UK for the last seven years. Jamplay.com is one of the best sites I have ever visited. It looks great, it works great and the content is fantastic. So much so that I can only just type this morning due to very sore finger tips on my left hand. Can't wait to get home and move on to lesson 2.
"Keeps Me Coming Back"
The lessons I've taken are well done and the teaching system does a nice job of building skills. I am considering transferring from monthly to quarterly membership.
Hi, FYI I am truly enjoying the site! I think that it is extremely well done. I'm recently disabled and am committed to learning how to play the guitar after picking it up and putting it down 100 times over the last 40 years. I've spent the last year wandering the Internet and ordering DVD's with Guitar Lessons trying and trying to grasp this wonderful instrument, to no avail. Your site was like a Godsend. The lesson structure is GREAT. Over the years I would hit a brick wall such as barre chords or theory and quit. Your instructors make these subjects so crystal clear and give concise lessons in how to conquer these issues. All I can say is JamPlay is fantastic and I recommend it to everyone I know!! Pat A
Dear JamPlay, Where have you been? It is about time someone put a web site together like this. I will finally be able to learn to play the guitar with the resources necessary. I have been trying a lifetime to learn how to play and always missed lessons and interest due to travel and bad teachers. From what I can see, you have eliminated both those problems for me. I will sing and play praises to you where ever I go in the world. With the greatest thanks, Tim H.
Thank YOU, had a quick look at site and think its just what i need, Been playin' guitar for 40 years on and off and in bands and as I now have time want to learn to play better, looks like you guys will enable me to do that. All the best and very well done, phil.
I am not in the habit of writing fan mail, but somebody at JamPlay really knows what they're doing. You have far and away the best, most encouraging, effective program I've ever had the pleasure of participating in. In summary, the three principle strengths, of your course, IMHO are: (a) the step-by-step approach to mastering fundamentals, (b) the quality, and incredible patience of your instructors, and (c) the way you use the camera to make things perfectly clear.
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your lessons onliine. I signed up for them for my son who just got his 1st electric guitar. WOW! He is doing great. I can tell a huge difference in just a week. It's funny he feels like he knows his teachers personally. So, keep up the good work your doing a great job teaching him the guitar.
Hi. I just want to say how impressed I am about JamPlay.com I have only been a member for a short time, but I am already very impressed about your web site. You have a huge variety of lessons and teachers who speak a language everyone understands. The lessons I have seen so far has made me understand music and guitar playing in a whole new way. There is a progression that everyone will benefit from. I have learned more already than I thought was possible. I just want to say thanks and PLEASE keep up the good work. Everyone who wants to improve their skills should be a member. It does after all cost less than dollar per day. Skip one Coca cola and start playing. Thanks Jan
Just a comment, a good one!
I am working on the beginning guitar series with Steve Eulberg and find his Acoustic Guitar series to be excellent. Although I am 80 years old and have tried on and off for many years, (using many different programs) to learn Acoustic Guitar it has been mostly frustrating to me until I came across Steve's program. He has finally put together a simple, logical, easily executed approach that really makes sense and is a joy to follow. I am looking forward to continuing his series. Thanks Steve. William H.
I love JamPlay! Its exactly what I have been needing to advance my guitar playing. Your site provides so much that I am sure I will be a long term member. Thanks to all the folks at JamPlay for putting together such a great site!
Hello JamPlay.com Just wanted to let you know that i'm very happy with your services. I have been looking for a good guitar lessons provider and have not been satisfied with anything until i found JamPlay.com.
Love the extra courses
I can only say that since joining i have not been able to put down my guitar (it has been on its stand for almost 2 years) Now has new strings, cleaned up and rockin, the lessons are brilliant, the tutors are switched on, articulate and very cool at getting the message over, (plus all amazing players) I will be busy for the next 12 months and my playing will be live up to my expectations (i hope) lol. Once again thanks for an awesome site.
I want to take this opportunity to say hello and express my thanks to the JamPlay staff and community. This website is simply superb and I was so impressed I signed up for a year within minutes of my first visit. I picked up the guitar a few years ago but my study and practice was limited to about one year at that time. I was fortunate to try several guitars, including several electric and acoustic models from friends who play in a band, and ultimately settled on a Ovation Legend and a fingerpicking playing style. As is probably the case for most, life just gets in the way sometimes and I let myself get out of a routine and while I would pick up the guitar almost daily to just play some chords, I wasn't progressing in skill. Eventually, the guitar ended up in a corner and has been there for the last 6+ months. Now that my two kids have been asking for guitars (ages 8 and 10), I have made a re-commitment to significantly improve my skill and knowledge of the guitar in 2008 and share this wonderful instrument with them. Another goal of mine is to master six holiday songs by Christmas next year and record them on CD as a gift to family and friends, including a very challenging song (Cannon in D), which I may ask JamPlay to help teach me. I want to thank JamPlay for making available this fantastic tool to myself and other aspiring guitar players and for providing me the opportunity to chase my goals with a re-newed enthusiasm and motivation. Here's to 2008! =)
Greetings! I just wanted to tell you how much I think of your site and it's teachers! JamPlay is the best! I love your site - I am subscribed to 2 others - but yours is my 'home' and you are head and shoulders above your competition! Keep up the great work!
Actually, I'm quite pleased with JamPlay. I'm a rank beginner and had never found a course of instruction online that started with absolute basics, especially my instructor's insistence on my getting picking and rhythm down before learning a singe note or chord! What a revelation! I knew some chords but had never gotten a firm handle on picking and rhythm. Finally I'm starting in the right place and I feel I will progress quickly. The course quality and video production values are tops. Thanks for having such a great site! Kind regards, Ralph
It's great and Jim is a terrific communicator! I've been playing a guitar for forty years and I must be a really slow learner because all I've been able to play are chords to accompany my not so singable voice. And just after three days I'm playing Wayfaring Stranger like a pro! But...........my fingers are killing me! Great site for music lovers and those that endeavor to finally learn and start playing really well. Thanks
[E-mail to Jim Deeming from JamPlay member] "... For what it's worth, thanks so much for the effort you're putting into JamPlay. Like i said, I've only been here a month or so, but I've advanced much further than even I expected when I signed up. You lessons are extremely helpful and they're something I look forward to getting into on a daily basis. That, and now I understand that fingerpicking is the style for me. It may not have been what I jumped into this scene to do...but it's what I want to do now. Thanks for everything!! adam"
Comments after a few days. Signing up was easy -- didn't have any problems. Actually, I put in my credit card number wrong at first, but it was all setup to try it again, so that went smoothly. I like that it went right to creating my profile and then right to the main page of jamplay -- felt like it was guiding me through things. The layout of the site is awesome: I instantly knew what I needed to click on to go where... In all honesty, I like everything about jamplay and can think of nothing I don't like The layout of the site makes complete sense 2 seconds after you see it. The video quality is high. I use the progress bar for the lessons to see where I left off and what I need to work more on. The few times I've thought "I could use this", I looked and it was there (like when I was wishing I had a diagram of a chord Steve was using, and it was there in the page below the video or in the supplemental section). Even the price seems great: $20 a month seems more then fair for what's offered.
I am a 45 year old man who never picked up any instrument up until 6 months ago when I decided to learn to play the guitar. JamPlay has been my principal source of instruction. After six months, I have learned more about guitar and music than I ever expected I would. Your website is an excellent resource. I enjoy using it everyday on my journey from being a complete novice to becoming a developing guitarist. It has been a real joy. Thank you.
To whom it may concern, I have not this much fun in a long time! I am indeed very pleased with my decision to become a member of Jamplay. I have been very cautious of some online memberships that make promises only to disappoint but Jamplay keeps impressing and even surprising. I have recommended it to my friends and they too are impressed and interested in membership. A good product sells it self and a satisfied customer is certainly the best advertising. As a Quality Manager in the Automotive Industry I am impressed with your strategy and commitment to delivering a fine product / service. Thanks and I look forward to mastering the guitar with you and the other members of Jamplay.
I just want to answer that I'm very pleased with the service, the teachings and everything around it. I'm currently focusing on Hawkeyes blues lessons, but there is plenty of other teachings which I know I will enjoy further down the line. I did take a look at several other video guitar schools on the Internet, out of which I found JamPlay to be the best, with a very professional, still relaxed attitude towards both the student and the subject taught.
I'm enjoying it immensely. I am 50 years old, have a degree in music education, and I have been a guitar teacher for 11 years now. I have been playing for about 35 years. I joined JamPlay to improve my skills in the different genres and, honestly, to pick the brains of your teachers for teaching tips. I plan to view every lessons from Phase I up. My youngest son, who is 9, and I are enjoying the videos. Thank you for the great quality and for the in-depth instruction. Sincerely, Dale K.
Hi JamPlay, I want to let you know that I am very happy with my subscription. I was almost ready to give up until I tried your amazing on-line classes. You have a first-class experience instructors faculty that is one of the best if not the best in the entire Internet. My special admiration for my instructor Jessica Baron. She is one in a million. She is so a delightful person, that you never get bored. Thanks again.
I just wanted to say that I love JamPlay! I've been trying to learn the guitar for years but no single video or DVD could hold my interest for more than a week before I got bored. I've been a member of JamPlay for two weeks and I've learned so much about the guitar. I cannot wait to learn even more. Your system is awesome and your instructors are excellent. I can learn at my own pace so I never become bored or frustrated. It's perfect for me! Thanks JamPlay!
Passion for guitar
I found your website last night, and COMPLETELY love it! I have also already showed some experienced guitar playing friends, and they were so impressed they are thinking about joining just to hone their skills. I have been playing about a month, and have been teaching myself with the help of friends and free online video's. But, I came across this website and decided, although skeptical, to give it a shot. I learned more in the 4 hours I played on your site than I have in the last month of "teaching myself." Im currently watching Steve Eulberg's video's for beginners, and even though many of the chords I already knew, it was a great learning experience. Anyway, I will be a frequent visitor and hope to show you guys some skills in a few months. Thanks again for the awesome value and great website! Sincerely, Beau
This isn't so much of an inquiry as a congratulations I'm a self-taught guitarist and your video for The Trooper helped me learn the song in a matter of hours. I wouldn't describe myself as particularly talented, but the video helped me learn the song with ease. Thank you, Aidan P.
I am totally satisfied with your site. I am a piano/guitar teacher and I am learning about Bluegrass. I really love the approach that my teacher uses. Thank you for offering this wonderful teaching site.
Hello, I just want to say that I was really struggling with some concepts as a beginning acoustic guitar player. I searched the web and tried you tube lessons with no real forward progress. Tried books and dvd's with minimal satisfaction. I found you by web search and I'm real glad I did!! I will likely cancel my quarterly membership and upgrade to yearly!! I began the basic course from Steve Eulberg, and have to say this guy is great. I connected instantly, his instruction is fantastic. I cant say enough about how his lessons are benefiting me, and how pleased I am to have signed up with you. Steve has re-instilled the passion I once had for learning guitar, and has brought back my passion for learning.
Jessica Baron is a Hoot! I'm having more fun than a barrel of monkeys! In a month and three days I have learned to play two songs and I know 5 chords, and five strums! I am on Jamplay one to two hours a day.
It's like nothing I've ever encountered as far as it's content is concerned. Just this morning I went into a music store and somehow I ended up on the "musical instruction DVD" aisle only to become suddenly more grateful for the site's existence. For music+text combos about 90 minutes in length and with focus on a single style of music they were asking about 40$. Compare that you JamPlay's 4 instructors, each with hours of instruction and pages of printable reference material, encompassing all the essential genres for less than half that; I can't help but feel like I got a great deal.
I am really enjoying being able to learn at my own convenience, in my own home. I have two boys at home 11, and 12 so they keep me quite busy, But it is good to know that when I do have any spare time, I can pick up my guitar and learn another lesson. I think JamPlay is a great concept. I have already told quite a few people about it. I have a long way to go, but hopefully by the end of the summer I will be able to sit by the bonfire and play some of my favorite songs. c
I love the service You provide, It Is the best site on the net, full of information with cleaver & knowledgeable instructors. It Is my new favorite website & i frequent it a few times daily to keep my guitar learning moving! Top site I wouldn't change a thing. keep up the good work. regards, Nigel.
I would like to say what a fantastic site you have I am having a ball. All my life I have wanted to learn an instrument but due to something in the way I learn just can't cope unless I can see a real-time demonstration step by step, with someone explaining what's going on and why? I have tried before but could never understand strumming...after on 40 minute lesson..I can do it and I can do different rhythms. All I've got to do now is to remember to eat and go to work and not spend all week on more lessons. Fantastic
Customer Service Satisfaction
I'm a fifty eight year old newbie who owns a guitar which has been sitting untouched in a corner for about seven years now. Last weekend I got inspired to pick it up and finally learn how to play after watching an amazing Spanish guitarist on TV. So, here I am. I'm starting at the beginning with Steve Eulberg and I couldn't be happier (except for the sore fingers :) Some day I'm going to play like Steve! I'm self employed with a hectic schedule. With Jamplay I can fit in a random session when I have time and I can go at my own pace, rewinding and replaying the videos until I get it. This is a very enjoyable diversion from my work yet I still feel like I'm accomplishing something worthwhile. Thanks a lot, Greg
To all concerned, It is my opinion that this site is by far the most comprehensive guitar instructional site that I have ever run across on the web, BAR NONE!!! I am extremely impressed and will be a member for years to come. I say that because I can see that there is so much knowledge to be learned here already and the knowledge base will only get larger as time goes on. I can't say enough about it and will be spreading the word for sure! I just wanted to send the entire staff and instructors a huge thank you for all the hard work it takes to initialize, maintain and become established as the #1 site guitar instructional site on the web. I had gotten to the point where I felt like I was just spinning my wheels, but this site has ignited the fire again and fired up I am!!! Again, thank you very much... Vern
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Literally every second on the site feels like its helping me to improve and evolve my play. Specifically, I had always had tons of questions regarding the guitar techniques of Tosin Abasi and feel that the money is worth lessons from him alone! I'm not detracting from the other teachers one bit and I've come across some awesomely talented dudes on jam play for sure. I came for the Tosin, and I'm staying for the whole package! Allen Van Wert for example, is also awesome and his a minor melodic "robot tapping" video had me tapping like a boss in no time at all. Keep up the great work!
Hello JamPlay People. Joined the site for my 10 year old son. We have real trouble locating a guitar teacher locally so did some online research and found you! So far my boy has had a real blast. He is just past beginner stage and finds the videos really good to follow. Already managed a credible rendition of a couple of tunes. Keep up the good work. From a non-musical Dad.
Jamplay is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My guitar-playing has never increased so much and so quickly. Not to mention you get the whole picture, too - Support, livechat, and a forum where the pros will actually respond!!!!! Just want to say thanks I love it!
I have been so pleased with the plethera of information as well as the concise, easy to follow manner in which it is presented during my promo trial to Jam Play. Living in a rural area it is oft times difficult for some students to get into town for formal lessons. Jam Play offers a true quality of lessons with various styles of musicians at an affordable cost, on their own schedule, right at home. I sound like a commercial, don't I! I am sincere. As a paino/voice instructor with a small amount of guitar understanding, I will be referring all guitar students to your web site.
A superb website. I found it very useful to have alongside my in person teacher. That way there was something new to do in between real life lessons. Highly recommended.
Hey guys I just wanted to shoot you over an email to thank you for the site. I was a little skeptical when joining & giving my credit card online...but now that I am a member I could not be happier. I FINALLY have a good way to learn & stay motivated. Learning with you guys is a blast!
I just joined the site like a day ago - and I feel the urge to send you a letter to describe my first impressions of the site. It's simply amazing. The amount of work put into the site is incredible and the layout of the site is so well done. Granted I haven't started learning, but when everything is so well laid out for you it's hard not to get excited about learning more and more about guitar playing. I have subscribed to one of these guitar learning sites online before. I was not impressed, only few of the lessons contained video clips and the teacher was way to dry for my taste. I think I visited the site like 2-3 times and simply gave up. I'm very assured that this won't be the case now! The front-end of the site is very detailed and contains alot of content. Not enough to skip the bill - but has loads to get a guy like me excited about the program. I look forward to improve my skills here and be a part of this wonderful community you guys created.
FIRST EMAIL: Wow I say it again Wow IO have taken lessons before and just got frustrated! after 2 days with this program i am playing a song!thank you thank you thank you! I am so HAPPY! HAPPY SPRING YOU MADE MY LIFE HAPPIER! ---------------------- SECOND EMAIL: one more time wow funny thing i am hosting a reggae fest tomorrow I am going to play my little song they will get A KICK! CAUSE I AM ALWAYS behind the scene! believe me you touched a person that will promote you!
JamPlay is fantastic. Everything works well. The Instructors I've met and I am doing lessons with are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. The lesson formats work well and love being able to write notes on the notes tab, I use the comments tab and the supplemental material. The Chat Sessions are wonderful and such a treat. And am using the forum as well as the "tools". The content of your site is the best! Another outstanding feature are the steps you have taken not to be like a lot of sites by making sure we know where everything is. Making sure we know where to cancel membership (can't imagine ever doing that). Making sure we know how to contact the staff. I have the sense that you not only care about what you do but care about your instructors and us - the membership. I like it.
Just thought I'd check in and tell you how pleased I am with JamPlay..I am absorbing lessons very quickly because they are well taught, thoroughly explained, and provide a good selection of songs. Thanks!
Love the site and the community. All the instructors are awesome!! Learning alot faster than I ever have, I wish your sight was available 20 years ago,I would be a rock star!! Maybe I will be who knows... Thanks Jam Play instructors and staff, Duayne
As one who has built a few websites sites and is very particular on continuity & usability, I have to say this is one of the best laid out websites I have ever come across, anywhere! Unlike a lot of resources out there that that have similar content, yours is very easy to find ones way around. Everything follows a logical progression and the content & features are about as comprehensive as you could wish for. You have all done an outstanding job. Well done and I will definitely be renewing my subscription at the end of the month. An outstanding product in all areas. Regards JoMo
I have had no technical difficulties whatsoever, (I'm using an imac 20" g5, and comcast broadband) and I am working my way through Steve's beginners lessons. Steve is excellent, and the video quality is very good. It will take me some time to get everything out of the video lessons, but I am having fun and enjoying the process.
I'm loving it! Steve is great, and I have only looked briefly at some of the other instructors, but am looking forward to learning from them. I have been "playing" for 30 years, but always wanted to get serious and learn the guitar. JamPlay is giving me that chance, as well as taking away any excuses. Thank you for your service. Don B.
Honestly I have tweeted and commented on FaceBook about JamPlay and how completely totally freaking awesome it is! You guys did an absolutely incredible job! The layout of your site is awesome, the group of instructors you put together are all amazing, and the interface and videos run perfectly and are just done so well! I literally learned more in a weekend about playing the guitar than I did in nearly a year of private guitar lessons. Not that my instructor was bad, he was great but it is the sheer access of info, everyone learns different for me I needed theory and in just a weekend of learning why chords were what they were, how scales work and why, how to build cords, etc., I have progressed so much. Also for me I always had such a hard time with my right hand and strumming patterns and frankly never got consistent or good info on various patterns, techniques on holding pick, exercises to improve and how certain patterns are used...it has helped me so much. Thank you, JamPlay was exactly what I was looking for, greatest tool for learning to play the guitar on the planet if you ask me, I will be a loyal and long time member!
I just wanted to say thanks for the great guitar lessons! You've really filled in a lot of "gaps" in my theory, and made it extremely easy to learn. No joke, I find myself having a hard time going to bed at night, and can't wait to get up to view the next lesson... I've been playing for 20 plus years, and most of what I've learned has been through studying books on my own. It's great to be able to watch you do it and explain everything so it's easy to get. Like I said, you've helped fill in a lot of holes in my playing. I may have known what to do before, but now I'm starting to really understand why I'm doing it! I am one of 3 worship leaders at our church, which has about 800 to 1000 members, so I get people asking me for guitar lessons all the time. The problem is I don't have the time to help them. I like jamplay so much I'm sending everyone to you guys with the confidence that they will definitely benefit from it!
So far - so good! I had been trying to learn to play on my own for the last 3 months. Since signing up with JamPlay I have probably made as much progress in a week as I had in the prior 3 months. Glad I joined!
Thanks for your support Jamplay staff. As a complete novice in the world of guitar playing I was finding it all very baffling trying to learn from books. Your website is a revelation! Steve Eulberg explains everything so clearly and proceeds at such a good pace for the beginner, it is now starting to make some sense (although it's early days yet!!) I am so pleased that I recommended you to my equally frustrated colleagues!! Thanks for such a brilliant service!
WOW guys I just wanted to say great job on the site. I used to play guitar a lot but just somehow managed to lose interest & could no longer find time to play. I can now just pick up my guitar whenever I am in the mood, sit down at my PC & start learning. I have never been so excited about learning! Yesssssssssss! Thanks again!
I am so excited to have found your most comprehensive guitar teaching website. Its boundaries seem limitless. I am so impressed with the way you the lessons are presented visually and sequencially. Having spent a fair amount for private instructions in the past, which have been very helpful, your most cost effective, professional approach is what I will be recommending to all my friends. I'm happy to be a member and will be for a long time. Thanks again. Roger
After being self taught for some years, I was struggling. I love JamPlay because it is easy to use, and the lessons are taught by lessons which build on each other in a way that is needed. Also I can choose a teacher that I think is more my style. This is not to take anything away from any other instructor because they are all very qualified. I started with Lisa Pursell, and love it because I'm a blues type of guy. In fact I caught her on a live chat the other day, and I was able to ask lesson questions. You can't beat that. I love JamPlay. thank you for everything.
Hello I stopped playing as it was such a hassle going to lessons after coming in from work This site is exactly what I wanted so I have dusted off the guitar case, bought some new strings and intend to resume lessons commencing this weekend. I have also recommended the site to some of my friends and I am sure that they too will sign up. Congratulations, it is the best Guitar teaching site by far. Don M
Just letting you know that I am very pleased with my JamPlay membership. I'm having a lot of fun and learning many new and exciting things about playing guitar. Particularly the Bluegrass with Steve Eulberg and Rock with Brad Henecke lessons. I've checked out some other areas too that are equally exciting and I'm planning to really take advantage of this site and all it has to offer. Thanks for making a difference in my playing skills. Thumbs up for JamPlay.
Am so glad I have signed up to JamPlay! I have been playing electric guitar for past few years and felt that I have been getting nowhere. I am already totally inspired by the JamPlay guitar instructors and am sure these lessons will help me improve in my guitar playing. Many thanks!!
Thank you. I want to tell you that your web site design is absolutely great. I knew what I was looking at, I could figure out where I wanted to go. I was amazed at the amount of lessons that have things I want to know. I signed up for the monthly membership the first time I visited the site. The video answer question section is beyond anything I expected. I watched the Jim Deeming concert and couldn't turn it off. Thank you for quality like this and I appreciate that the teachers and their humor. Good Luck to you all. I will tell my friends about your web site.
Hello, I'm a beginner guitar player, so I started with the "phase 1". This site is AMAZING! So easy to follow my progress with the "my progress report", and the lessons are easy to understand. I'm really really lucky that I' found Jamplay in time. This is the best guitar site on the internet! Thank you, Jamplay! Attila, from Hungary
I am freaking loving it. Honestly. I have already shown it to two friends who are now planning to sign up as well. I have learned more in a few weeks of hard work than I had in the last five years or playing. I have an extremely erratic work schedule that has prevented me from signing up for regular classes, and jamplay has been the perfect solution for me. Thank you for an amazing website.
" . . . JAMPLAY ROCKS!!!The lessons are simple and easy to understand and ive have really enjoyed this site..My brother gave me the subscription for my birthday and i think its the best gift i have been giving in a long time..Thanks so much for your site..Keep up the great work!!"
Your service that you provide to guitarists like me is of a very high standard. I have played and stopped playing guitar several times in my life. Now that I have found your site I am quite confident to get a new thrill at it and finally fill in the missing parts in my basics which always let me stop playing, leaving me more or less frustrated. Currently I have started to go through the basic lessons of Steve Eulberg and Jim Deeming as I am not a gifted singer and like to play more instrumental. I am a big fan of Tommy Emmanuel and also Chet Atkins, Merle Haggart etc. Although I know I will never reach a level of such virtuosity your lessons and especially the two teachers mentioned help me to get through all the struggles. I hope you understand my English as I am a german speaking Swiss. What I try to say is simply: You all at Jamplay do a really great job!
I have always admired the way Americans do things. Like tools, best in the world.Cars, fast and flashy, guitars, works of art, easy to play! I love Fender! I've been playing for many years, but never to the standard I would like. JamPlay is another American masterpiece and I am sure I will achieve my goal!
Ye now that i've had a look around and completed a few lessons with Jim Deeming I will be moving from a monthly sub to a yearly one.I've looked at a lot of online lesson web sites and yours is the most concise and to the point, so i'll be with you for a while until nearly as good as Jim ( if i live that long) Cheers Steve
Knows how to treat customers
I don't know if you read my profile: I played the guitar on and off over the years, more or less playing rhythm. My niece asked me to teach her son some chords, I said yes but he would be better off taking lessons. Expense for this was a problem so I checked out the internet and found JamPlay. I liked it so much I recommended it to my niece for her Son. He subscribed as I did and we both take lessons together. Once a week we meet at my house to check our progress. The problems we work out together. I was always interested in finger picking so this program is great for me. So far I'm enjoying my lesson and I'm learning a great deal. Great Program!
Hi; I have just started the beginner series with jamplay and I have taken lesson one on one in the past but I am enjoying the teacher and the lessons they provide a lot more with jamplay. I find your approach as well as the format very well done and entertaining. The quality of instructors is very good and their approach as well as their teaching methods are great and unintimidating. They make you feel good about where you are and are very encouraging. I am more then satisfied and will definately recommend this site to all the people I know that are looking for quality as well as a fun way to learn how to play.
I just wanted to say I'm thoroughly enjoying your service. I've been playing self-taught guitar for 12 years now and it is extremely refreshing to come back and look at things from a different perspective. I absolutely love the time and dedication your instructors put into their courses and I believe the quality of your lessons goes above and beyond anything that any of your competitors can offer (I've tried a few). Thanks for providing such a great resource.
I'm have been trying to play guitar for about 1 yr. I have several guitar teaching programs, Learn and master guitar, Guitar method one, Guitar Magic III, to name a few. I have learned a lot from these programs especially Learn and master guitar. I practice two three hrs. daily. The repetition can be pretty boring. When I was surfing and found JamPlay I didn't expect much, There are so many sites that say they can teach you how to pay guitar, but I have found that you have to already know how play guitar to understand what they are talking about after a couple of lesson. I want to tell you I am really glad I tried JamPlay! I have taking lessons from Jim Deeming, and he has made the learning process so much more interesting and he gives practice information that I don't think you you will find anywhere else. I'm only on the twelfth lesson so far, and I have greater understanding how music works. I already knew how read music and know the notes on first position and some bar chords, haven't learned tab yet. I'm not trying to blow my horn about what I know, what I trying to say is with all practice and lessons I have in the past, it wasn't until I joined JamPlay and I started taking lessons from Jim Deeming that it all starting making sense, now I have got my enthusiasm back and can't wait to get to the next lesson. I hope the other instructors are as informative, when I get to them. I also like to say my guitar stays in tune, with minimum tweaking since I followed Jim Deeming instructions on how to string a guitar. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JAMPLAY! Thanks, James I.
Jamplay Staff, I have to tell you, I'm very happy with the idea of your website. So far I've been listening to Marc's acoustic lessons and they're very helpful, Marc knows how to successfully convey ideas at appropriate times which makes him a good teacher. So basically so far so good. Very impressed.
Greetings, I felt it necessary to convey my deepest appreciation for Jamplay. It is an EXCELLENT tool and I have been very satisfied thus far.
Not a Problem here, just a thanks....I had drifted away to other sites and the advent of your Live Lesson Series has brought me back...In my opinion this is the kind of focused, not too short and not too long semi deep dive that is just right for those of us that love learning but have little patience for too many words... I am going thru David's Pentatonic series now and he is doing an excellent job.. So, I may have an issue at some point but for right now I say Good job folks :slightly_smiling_face:
Hi, I love your web site!!! My first renewal notice just came up. Great teachers and great web design. Especially the part where I can go over things as many times as I want to. I also love the variety of the genres. This web site is what the internet was made for, it's inventors would be proud of the way you have utilized it. Thanks Ellen E.
I just wanted to respond to you folks and applaud you on a job very well done. I am currently going through the basics with Jim Deeming although this is not my first time playing guitar, this is the first time I'm taking it seriously, and your web site with the help of Jim are making things easy, pleasant and fun. So thank you very much you can be assured that I will be here for quite some time. Thank you Carl
Hey JamPlay Staff! I joined Jamplay originally last year... but due to family issues had to suspend my account (really did not want to)... Just joined again and have been IMMENSELY enjoying the lessons with my instructor... With so many instructors to choose from I gravitated to Jim Deeming, his easy going style and personality makes him a nature fit for me (and we are about the same age :) )... we have interacted via the Video chat and boards and I honestly feel like he is MY personal instructor... Something I would have never though possible via a medium such as this... I have dabbled in guitar for many years but have never been as focussed as I am now... I am learning TONS and progressing farther than I ever have.. For everything on offer, the 20 dollar subscription is well worth it :) My guitar and I have been strangers over the years, but thanks to JamPlay and Jim Deeming, we are fast becoming best friends!! (Metaphorically speaking mind you... I don't talk to my guitar or anything... well not a lot.. anyway) :p Thanks again... you guys ROCK!!!
What can I say, Jamplay is FANTASTIC!!! The best way for anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar is to hook up with Jamplay and don't quit.Great teachers, excellent video instruction, and illustrations. Huge community of other students learning the guitar. Can practice anytime, day or night.
Yes I am hooked on Jamplay. It is fantastic to be able to have lessons whenever I want. I have started with Hawkeye and am getting into the blues. He is a great teacher - and he responds to the many comments and questions he gets. It is amazing to think that I am down here in little old New Zealand getting lessons daily from an American blues man - the power of the internet!
I must say I really love JamPlay! I"ve learned so many new things and am still learning a lot! JamPlay made my life worth living again and I enjoy the wide range of lessons and teachers for such an affordable price. Since I don´t have the money to have private teacher this is the perfect solution for me.
Hey guys, I just want to tell you that your site has revolutionized my guitar playing. I'm trying to do 2-3 lessons per day and they are just so enjoyable and so very well done. Wow! Ken D.
hi, I would just like to say how amazing your site is!!!! Ive only been a member for just over a day and i am already picking up skills and things i didnt know i could do as a intermediate guitarist!!!!! thanks sooo much!! great site!!!!!! Matthew R
When I first signed up for your service I was a little nervous about what I was paying for. Since I've started, I have to say that this is worth every cent. Your teaching tools are invaluable. Everything from the Chord Sheets to the Metronome for those of us who are cheap have been tremendous in helping me learn guitar playing. Also, the teachers are outstanding! Everything I was looking for in lessons is right here. Thank you.
I'm enjoying the service a great deal. Doing a lot of exploring at the moment but it appears to be well planned, well thought out, and has everything I need. My only question is: where were you guys 20 years ago? I know that's not fair and it's never too late to get going. Super good instructors. JamPlay is top notch.
I've got to tell you that this is the best experience that I could ever have. I have taken guitar lessons from a local teacher who is superb. Unfortunately I had to stop for a while and couldn't get back with her to continue. Not trusting anyone else to teach me locally, I took a chance and tried your service. I find your instructors, especially Steve Eulberg outstanding. When I had question, the answer always came back to me within 24 hours. I want to thank you again for your professional service and excellent instruction.
JamPlay is something I have been looking for and eventually waiting for, for many, many years now. I'm totally impressed with what I've seen and tried so far, and it seems you've really put much thought and work into this. The website seems to be well tested and technically flawless. Everything looks very professional. As regards the material itself I've only just begun to watch Steve's stuff. I like his style very much, but I look forward to studying the others as well. I'm a singer myself, but often feel handicapped when trying to write songs, or when I want to perform solo. So that´s why I'm here. I really hope you are here to stay and will multiply your number of members, the quality of the service demands it (and I demand it!)...
Very happy with your service, not only with the cost savings over private lessons but overwhelmed by the vast knowledge through the instructors. Being able to select a teacher that I can relate to is fantastic. I am self taught and my playing has improved greatly in just a few days of your service. Flat out-nothing else like it out there...Thanks Tim D.
I simply LOVE jamplay!! It has been a very positive experience for me. This involves far more than just the lessons (as great as they are), but to the quick response to questions, the friendliness and helpfulness of the Jamplay community, and all of the bells and whistles. Everyone that I know or that I meet who has a guitar or has expressed an interest in learning about the guitar has heard my testimonial to your site. You guys and girls are great. If I sat down tonight and designed a site to be everything I wanted in a guitar site I could not do half as well. Thanks for doing such a great job! Pat
JamPlay, I am loving this website! I am getting exactly what I need here (scales, notes, chord structures and theory). The instructors are skilled, patient, pleasant and knowledgeable and that is the atmosphere I need in order to learn as I am a creature of repetition. I especially like the way y'all have things broken down into beginner/intermediate and advanced instead of just throwing it out there. The different style section are big plus too. I am eating the rock/metal lessons up with a spoon! :-) Also the price is simply unbeatable!! I was impressed at how organized and structured the lesson plans are. It makes it much easier for the student land in the right area according to his/her talent level. Also you have given us a variety of instructors who will teach the same things but will attack them from different angles which gives the student a more rounded base of learning and knowledge base. I love the added features like the articles, tab sheets/chord charts, and the built in metronome. Also the downloadable material is a plus as well. Everything I need to become a great guitar player is right here on JamPlay.com Very cool site! Thanks!!!
I do not have any questions so far. I must say though, Jamplay is amazing. I'm using it to get back into guitar at my own schedule, and it lets me choose what i want to learn, tells me how hard it is, and teaches it so well. I managed to learn how to tap guitar solos with such a simple technique, and trained for a simple 20 mins with the exercises you provided. I'm very happy i bought a subscription, and when i'm more financially stable, i may even upgrade to yearly ;) Thanks for checking in, hope the good work keeps up :D
I find the lessons excellent. I am currently following Jim Deeming because I am a bad fingerpicker. I find his lessons addictive, helpful, easy to follow and enjoyable. I have also looked at Steve Eulberg and find him equally interesting. I think I will get my monies worth out of the annual subscription in a month at the rate I am going! Thank you and well done Regards John R. PS You're never too old to start.
I wanted to tell Steve, after Lesson Four, how excited I am. I have gotten more out of your lessons Steve, than I did with half a year of guitar lessons. Okay, I'm ready to sign up for a year... Thank you so much! I am telling all my friends about JamPlay. They are passing it on to their children and grandchildren. I played piano years ago, and now I play keyboard. I started guitar (first on my own with books, then with a teacher) over a year ago. I bought an acoustic guitar and later an electric. I really want to play Santana, etc., but was getting nowhere. I ALMOST gave up guitar until I happened across your site looking for sheet music on the Internet. Thank goodness. I have to say, even my husband (and he's not one to compliment lightly) thinks your site is great! Thanks so much. I'm looking forward to this adventure. Catherine M. P.S. I have your tuner on my Bookmarks. I really believe it's helped my tuning ability. Today, after I used your tuner, I tuned my guitar again with my electric tuner and I was pretty right on. Your tuner is a great tool!
This is the best investment I have ever made! I cant believe how much I have learned in just a few lessons-terrific stuff! Looking forward now to a really happy retirement and doing something I have always wanted to do-it's never to late to learn they say....and I'm about to find out! Warmest regards to all at JamPlay
I have nearly completed a one month subscription and just had to write in to say what a joy it has been having access to both your video instructions and your highly qualified live instructors. It was very easy to decide to renew under the one year plan. Congratulations on a well built and executed concept! Doug
Since starting to use the site I find that it's very valuable. I have the feeling that I'll learn much more from the JamPlay instructors than by trying by myself or from my weekly private lessons. I am very motivated to learn and I can see that the resources at JamPlay are vast.
Dear JamPlay, I have an in-home instructor that I spend a hour lesson with once a week. I've learned so much more in so less time just from the lessons on your web site. Mark Lincoln is my instructor. I am absorbing the knowledge like a sponge and loving every minute of it. I am improving with leaps and bounds. Please keep Mark around. Many thanks to Acoustic Guitar Magazine for providing the link to your site. I'm hooked! Thank you!
I'm loving my lessons from Jamplay! I've had my guitar for 30 years and never had the time to learn to play properly. It's a perfect format for me as I can fit it into my own schedule. Love it! Thanks!
Eve Goldberg's Beginners classes are terrific. I find every one to be thoughtful, well-paced, and very satisfying. Props to Eve.
I LOVE IT!!! I love it so much that I have cancelled my memberships to some other sites and haven't visited a free membership site either. I am a 67 year old beginner. As you guys know, not everyone learns the same way or likes a particular teaching style. Jam Play has lots of beginning instructors to choose from. So far I LIKE THEM ALL!!. Amazing! Each one has a little different style and approach and so if I didn't follow a skill taught by one instructor, I just try another. IT'S GREAT! My favorites so far are; Steve Eulberg, Eve Goldberg and Orville Johnson. You guys have really got this thing dialed in...keep up the good work. thanks, Dave Lotridge, in the middle of nowhere, South Texas.
JamPlay I am commenting here to tell you and everyone at JamPlay that I believe this is the absolute best site for guitar students. I truly enjoy learning to play the guitar on JamPlay.com. Yes, I said the words, "enjoy learning." It is by far the best deal for the money. Thanks Bill
JamPlay is my favorite site. I look forward to getting on everyday, and exploring new lessons from teachers I've yet to learn from, and those that i have watched and liked. Thank you for such a great site. :)
Hi - i am truly enjoying your website and services so far!!! I have been playing for awhile so am not a real beginner so to say; however the lessons i have been through so far are great. They have opened a few doors and turned on the lights for sure. I have also learned a couple of new songs already in just two days. Thanks for a great site it truly is a huge help.
It's clear Jamplay is very supportive to all customers! Your attention reflects well on Jamplay, and I will not hesitate to share my opinion. That bottom- line support is what makes a real Company! Jamplay has another fan!!
I am enjoying my membership very much, thank you! Your site is awesome! It is well laid out, and easy to navigate. I especially love that there are so many wonderful instructors who spend so much time teaching, and helping people like me to learn to play. I am finally looking forward to learning to play the guitar I bought 25 years ago. Hopefully, even an old dog like me can learn some new tricks :) Hilary
Dear Jam Play... I am enjoying every minute of my membership !! The site is incredible. Its easy, has so many good choices, and I very much enjoy the printable lesson for further studies and homework.
I'm a fifty eight year old newbie who owns a guitar which has been sitting untouched in a corner for about seven years now. Last weekend I got inspired to pick it up and finally learn how to play after watching an amazing Spanish guitarist on TV. So, here I am. I'm starting at the beginning and I couldn't be happier (except for the sore fingers :) I'm self employed with a hectic schedule. With Jamplay, I can fit in a random session when I have time and I can go at my own pace, rewinding and replaying the videos until I get it. This is a very enjoyable diversion from my work yet I still feel like I'm accomplishing something worthwhile. Thanks a lot!
Jamplay I am having a great time learning the guitar and Jamplay is just the vehicle for me. I can access it any time day or night, I can go over a lesson as often as I need to and it provides a great motivation to continue learning. I will obtain live instruction sometime, probably this coming fall, but only to supplement what Jamplay is able to provide and maybe only to get hands-on help getting through tough spots. I think some constructive criticism would also be beneficial. I like the presentation, and I really like the ability to access more than one instructor. Please continue this project cause you have a convert in me.
We look forward to serving you.
